Dear all,
I have a list of maid agencies to avoid in my blog. Please check out the list before you decide to use any agencies.

tamarind,
i just went to see your blog, MY god… Assets has been using the same tricks…on so many other employers… Lee Garden and Assets has the same owner, same con tricks. Totally unethical and certainly deserve to be banned! Thank you for sharing! -
Hi Newbie here...and extremely frus with my maid of 16 months coz she refuses to learn and is now answering back \"what's the big deal?\" :x
Tamarind, thanks for your pointers in your blog. Now I know I need to STOP screaming at her - for peace at home, and for the kids watching.
Last night it was soooo particularly upsetting coz she wouldn't follow instructions on what to feed the kids for dinner, even how much vege to fry for ourselves (two but she cooked for one because she hated that kind of vege) and did things her own way!! After some very heated exchange, I got the kids out for a car ride (DH is at work)...she panicked and asked \"who's going to eat the food ma'm?\"
Common sense is not so common after all! I want to change her because the kids are learning her line \"I forgot mummy\"

Hi
What should we look for in hiring a maid?
1) Should we get a fresh maid who has never worked out of their country before?
2) Indonesia or Myanmar Maid?
3) Single or Married?
Pls advise.
Thanks. -
chatelaine,
Pls do read up Tamarind's blog. It's very useful especially if you need a maid to take care of your children.
Some fresh maid can be very good, and some experienced can be lousy despite working for many years.:) -
Hi Smurf
Thanks for your advise
-
no worries…can read up Tamarind’s blog to ‘identify’ those ‘bad’ maids…hopefully they dun change their identity to find job locally again…

Dear All,
I am trying to arrange my maid to fly back to Indo for home leave.
The complication is that when she reaches jakarta, she must take a domestic flight.... Also, when I tried to book online for the domestic flight, they said the credit used in the booking must be shown as a proof :?
This all seem so complicated with the online booking. Was thinking if there are anywhere in Spore where I can get domestic flight tkt??? -
MMM:
Why dont you ask her where is the nearest airport rather than Jakarta? Normally there is one near and they can take a bus/train home.Dear All,

Also, you need to go to the embassy to stamp in her passport; if not she will need to pay about Rp150millions (abt SGD 250) taxes when she comes back.
