Remedial lessons for P1 only starts next term for identified weaker students after the teacher's assessment of the pupil for 1 term. Once the pupil is identified, she has to come to sch earlier to attend the Learning Support Program (LSP).

Oic... thanks for the info, Tinkerbelle.

Wondering is it a good thing if she's been selected to go for remedial, hahaha... free class mah, I cheapo hor??

      Er Tinkerbelle,

          Hi all,

Did u all submitted the purple ring file to the teacher? My DD brought it back home. She said the teacher said is a wrong type of purple file. But I only have that. Any idea what is the right one?
          Hi jesyeo,
There are 2 types of purple files the sch uses. The thick ring folder is for filing 'hao peng you' booklets whereas the thin file (with purple plastic-covered cardboard-backing and a transparent plastic cover) is for filing the normal worksheets from sch. I believe the teacher wants the thin plastic file. You can buy from Popular to save you another trip to the sch bookshop.

P1 Perseverance only need to submit the red and blue file. Not sure if other classes needs to submit the purple file. Any other parents can help?

I think it's different for different classes.

For P1 Responsibility, they were told to bring the Green file to file in all the circular notes given and school timetable. They were also told to submit the chinese workbook, 2 squares exercise books and handwriting booklet yesterday and to bring $3.10 for the helpmate, the book with the picture of \"Soil\" and booklet with the spider today. So far these are what she told me.

I told my DD that she has to remember what the teacher says cos I am not in school and won't know what are needed. :?[/quote]Hello acbj,
Oh No, my gal didnt mention to me anything about Green File!!! 2nd day she submitted the 1 square exercise book, chinese activity book & the CME book ( the book with the picture of \"Soil\" ) She told me today need to submit $3.10, a blue notebook, Listening comprehension & Handwriting practice booklets.....
So tough for the gals to remember what the teachers want them to bring... the teachers should at least get the gals to write inside an exercise book first....

Anyone DD interested in joint the CCAs? I wanted my girl to join the dance club as I feel she has talent in that but she not interested. She wants to join art club.

If she joined CCA, does it means that I have to bring her to school myself or the school bus will come and pick her up early.

I thought gym is compulsory for all students. So is not right?
If your DD join any CCA, you will have to send her yourself. The sch bus will not fetch.

Gym is compulsory for all P1 as their PE3 where they learn basic gym moves but the sch also has gym as a specialised CCA. Now, these gals can do somersaults in the air :rahrah: Training for gym as a specialised CCA is more intensive, twice a week. πŸ˜“

                  Hi,

May I know what do we do during the parents' session on 21th?

All the files and white board are still at home so are we supposed to bring all these to school too??
                  Hi Callie,

For parents' briefing on the 21st, the principal will address you first in the hall, then you'll get to meet the form teacher in the class , who will give you more info regarding her expectations and what parents should expect. She'll also inform you about how the gals will be assess etc.

Do bring the white board to sch daily or keep it in the locker as your DD will use it regularly. Keep files at home till teacher asks for them. πŸ˜„

                      Hi all mummies of P1 n P2...

I 'm planning to put my DD in MC next yr but I heard from some others that starting from P1 they have to attend extra lesson (like tuition) in the morning once or twice a week..is it true? Sch bus will not send them in early so parents have to send them themselves...if that is the case..very jia luck coz i'm a working mom....any idea?
P2 moms pls confirm if the above situation is true?
                      Thanks.......and all the P1 mummies...辛苦你们了....
                      Hi genki2,

The extra lessons for P1-P2 are only for identified weaker students. If your DD copes well academically, there'll not be any extra lessons till P3.

Sch buses will not send your DD to sch early for CCA or remedial lessons.

Ya, I agree...the teacher should have asked them to write it down somewhere. Afterall, these are P1 kids.
For future reference, maybe you might want to get your DD to write down reminders and all homework in her Helpmate.
