My DD brought the clear holder and put the circular inside on the first day. She came home and told me about the green file that night. I thought the green file is for Music but after checking with her twice, she still tell me the same thing, so I let her use it.

I agree that it's best to let the students write down what they need to bring. Hopefully with the helpmate, it'll be clearer to both students and parents. πŸ˜‰
My DD's FT wrote down the $3.10 required for her in the helpmate. However the rest of the required sign off pages in the helpmate was scribbled by DD (recognise her untidy handwriting, hee....)

So far, quite happy with her FT, Mrs. Sarah Tan.

Only the upper Pri gals start their CCA from 10 Jan. The lower pri gals will only commence CCA on the 3rd week of sch (starting from 17 Jan). You should hear from the sch latest by next week if your DD has been selected for CCA. πŸ˜„

            Hi all,
Dunno if this will help you guys for the first few months but during the parents' briefing, maybe you can suggest to the form teacher to email you the homework (on days when there's lots to write down in the Helpmate) and other reminders pertaining to the class.

Last year, a few parents suggested this to DD2's form teacher because some gals didn't write down the homework or didn't write it down properly. The teacher was kind enough to email us daily for the first few weeks and subsequently lesser as the gals got used to writing in the Helpmate. But you still need to get your gals to copy down homework from the whiteboard in class so that they can be trained. With the teacher's email, we just counter-check if our DDs are copying the right things and guide them to copy properly.

I'm so lucky this year that DD2's teacher is also emailing us. I just received her first email today to inform us of today's homework and remind us to bring thermometer for temperature-taking exercise tomorrow and early dismissal at 5.30pm. πŸ™

P1 parents, don't fret, the sch will distribute thermometers to your DDs. πŸ˜‰

Ok. Guess will let her wear her PE shirt and also bring along the health education book then. Thanks gals.

Anyway, the sch is ok about the gals wearing Pe attire on non-PE days. Of course, the classmates will ask why..haha. πŸ˜‰
