      Hey parents,
Have your children been asked to buy the 'onsponge Maths' assessment book ? I called Popular and was advised to buy directly from school instead. Neighbour told me her son used 'Problem-solving processes' by Fabian Ng last year.
may be 500th page before end of today ??

Have your children been asked to buy the 'onsponge Maths' assessment book ? I called Popular and was advised to buy directly from school instead. Neighbour told me her son used 'Problem-solving processes' by Fabian Ng last year.

Saw this Onsponge Series of Assesment Book being Sold in PH Bookshop - Display Prominently during the school Hols.

This is not in my Gal's P6 BookList, but the \"Problem Solving Process\" is.
In P5 Last year, she also using \"Problem Solving Process\" - used by her Maths Teacher Very Often, and Assignments R from the Book, as well.

        Very \"Challenging\" Book.

This Mummy has learnt quite a number of Maths Problem Solving
Skill as well from this Book - Never Too OLD to Teach New Tricks to Old Folks Like US, Right? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Neighbour told me her son in P5 used \"Problem solving processes\"...so mummy went to buy it last year from Popular since have 20% discount. Now there is a change - Onsponge challenging instead. Aiyah.
Regarding Maths, hubby dearest has to take charge bcos yours truly is simply hopeless where models are concerned. I coach kids in Eng, Chinese and Science.

DS said the wanton noddle is very nice @ $1.20. Don't know whether it's nice cos ds finds it a satisfaction buying his own food or it's really nice. Anyway can ask your ds to try.

We were comparing canteen prices last nite @ Ds swim class, n agree that some top schools have \"top\" prices too!! At Fairfield, noodles cost only $0.60 a bowl, PH is double!!

Yes, PH canteen prices are on the EXPENSIVE side...can't believe 1 piece of plain prata cost 70 cents.[/quote]Huh? I'm surprised that they sell pratas in school, when HPB is promoting Healthy Lifestyle and Diet to all Pri Sch kids! Many schools have since changed their stalls / menus to sell healthy food since like 1 or 2 years ago.

I'm hopeless and since this is so, better let hubby teach. Last year, he taught son to use algebra and FT (Mdm Valerine Chen) explained to him not to use a method that is not taught yet...safer to use methods taught so that students use them often and get the hang of it.

Maybe I am also not keen in Maths, which is why this old dog cannot learn new tricks. 😒

Heehee! I used to be hopeless when it came to models and actually taught DD using Algebra when she was in Pri 1! But now..... I must say I am quite an expert in models! DH was impressed at my progress! Hopefully I am still able to keep up with models for Pri 3 Maths! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Pei Hwa canteen food prices have been high since P1. A friend of mine told me this since her son was in P1 and that was like 5 years ago. She advised me to give my son more pocket money, esp on days when he had to stay back.

I just wonder if canteen operators in primary schools can standardize the prices. Don’t tell me premium schools or schools operating in Bukit Timah charge more.
