Hi funkymonkey, It's wonderful to hear your DD loves sch.Hi can'tbearit,
My gal is LOVING school!!!!And she loves her buddy. She made her a card and the buddy gave a parting present.HOW SWEET IS THAT!!!!!?
Ya, so sweet of her. :politebleah: I believe the buddies do make a big difference to the 1st few days of sch for the little ones. My DD2 still keep in touch with her P5 buddy from last year. Though they are in different sessions, they still chat to each other when they have a chance to see each other during single sessions and when the buddy stays back for supplementary lessons. -

Dear Tinkerbelle!!!
The Edusave account is automatically set up by the government for all Singaporean students when they start P1. Your child is now $200 richer. :moneyflies: The government will make yearly contributions to all accounts. This means your child will get $200 every year. This money can be used for enrichment lessons, PE3 etc.Tinkerbelle:
Hi parents,
can anyone explain what is this \"edusave account\" thingy? We are supposed to make a payment for the PE3 and it comes wif a form for deduction fr edusave account.
The cost shld b $220 but can only withdraw $100 fr edusave account??? Confused??? How do we even know we have an edusave account???? :? :? :?
So, to answer your questions, if your child is a Singaporean, she will have an Edusave account already. You only need to pay $100 for PE3 because the sch subsidises the other portion. If you sign the PE3 form, the sch will deduct $100 from your DD's Edusave account. If you don't sign, you'll need to pay cash/cheque. Down the road, when you deplete funds in your DD's Edusave account, you'll need to pay cash/cheque.

Oh I din know can wear PE attire during non-PE days. Thanks for that info! :)
Hi jesyeo,
Sounds like a good idea....You won't go wrong that way. Anyway, the sch is ok about the gals wearing Pe attire on non-PE days. Of course, the classmates will ask why..haha.Tinkerbelle:
Ok. Guess will let her wear her PE shirt and also bring along the health education book then. Thanks gals.
Not officially stated in the sch rules
but the gals do that.
Anyway, the girls must wear the pinafore for official events like photo-taking. P1 will have their CEPAS smart card (ezlink/student card) photo-taking on 1 Feb. If your DD has PE that day, you'll need to pack the PE attire for her to change at sch. Must go to sch in 'proper' full uniform.

Hi all,
Just a gentle reminder to all PM session parents, our gals finish sch early today at 5.30pm.....don't be late if you are picking your gals up from sch... -
DD came back with a list of 听写 for each week, I supposed. There are 5 words in a group with the \"Date\" field left blank. She said she was told to write her name, no further instruction. Does anyone know when they'll start on this? She's under Ms Boh's class.
Another  discovery last evening. There was no \"aunty\" on the bus when DD came home. Saw a girl, mayby 9/10yo, helping DD with her bag. As the bus was leaving, it rode over the hump and the girls on the bus were trying to balance themselves. Then, it dawned on me that the girls were not belted!  -

Oh yah. I have also heard from my girl that in the bus, 3 students sharing the 2 seats. She said those sitting near to the aisle will fall off easily and has to hold tight to the side of the seat. And yes, they are not told to put on the belts.
