Went Principle briefing session this morning, knowing that there will be 2 enrichment classes for P3 pupils who perform good in math and english last year. I think my DD will lost this chance. Hope school can provide more chances for them...

Just share with all of you my dd's experience. She attended the English enrichment in p3 (last year). Based on p2 SA2 results, she was shared top position with another student for English in her class. The other student also attended this enrichment. I didn't find out the selection criteria but maybe they pick the top few in that subject based on p2 results?

I received a letter today that the briefing for p3 parents is on 22 jan sat. Personally i am not for these enrichment classes at all. They already need to stay back twice a week for hmt and cca. I am glad my dd is not selected anyway. I dont want her to be so bogged down by so many classes.

Btw there is only school bus for cca at 4.30pm? No earlier one for hmt at 3pm?

You mentioned is only for those who are good in Eng and Maths. Did the P say how good is good? Like 95 and above?

It's a briefing for new students parents.

I don't how good is good, I think school will select students base on both enrichment class size and students records.

Yeah, my dd starting her HMT next Mon. But I heard the CCA bus not operating until next month. So I need to fetch her back for the first few lessons.

oh they told me there will be bus next monday but its at 4.30pm not 3pm. So my dd has to wait in school for 1.5 hours? This hmt extra class is a logistics nightmare actually. Why cant they just do it during normal lesson hours? Sigh

I heard from this year onwards all P2 HMT will be conducted during normal lesson hours. Why can't they do it for the other levels?

Oh i heard it from my husb, he called the driver to ask. About the hmt timing, maybe we can bring it up during the p3 parents conference on 22 jan?
