Thanks GK-pumpkin. Yes, and there is now no more weekly common test and the 1st CA will be in early Feb . So soon !!

I went for CCA Fair for parents today. The schedules are no joke though I must say the kids are now so lucky to have all kinds of programmes to groom and develop them to be a better person (not just good at studies). I suppose as parents, we have to give our DDs all the support even though I don't have the slightest idea how on earth they are going to cope with such challenging CCAs and academic curriculum !

Its not really CA and SA, its actually common tests for all subjects just crammed into one week, instead of having one common test per week like last time.

Congratulations SNGS! Not only did the top girl score 10 A1, she also scored A1 for the chinese paper which she took last year, which means 11 A1 in all. Overall, 1 scored 11 A1, 2 gals with 10 A1, 14 gals - 9 A1, 16 gals - 8 A1 and 29 - 7 A1. Well Done St Nick!!!

Hi, my dd is in st nic 1st year. Just came across this posting about the 2 stretch classes. What do they offer in the stretch class? Also saw a posting about the school neglecting the non-top performing students. I am rather concerned as my girl is not in the 2 stretch classes…


Does it also mean that the school ranks and streams students yearly?

Appreciate any additional information on this topic.

Hi 1998-DD,


This year there will be streaming for Sec 1 going to Sec2, so if your girl performs well , she will still have a chance to go stretch class next year. Anyway, these 2 classes do slightly more challenging work, the curriculum and work given is almost the same across the level.
