I am looking at my son’s timetable. Any idea what to pack in his bag for PAL, FTGP, CME? By the way what do they stand for?

            Hi parents,

am stil a bit lost as I have no time table on hand, not really sure what to pack… not sure what circulars/memos/info sheets have been handed out to the parents as we have missed the crucial first few days of school. Would really appreciate if I can get some advise on the spelling/听写 schedules, CCA info etc.

Is there a briefing on 15th Sat? May I know what time? Are the books left in schoo or they have to be packed eveyday according to time table?? Thanks in advance…

Not sure abt PAL, but FTGP mean form teacher guidance program and CME means Civic and moral education.

At FTGP, the form teacher will conduct the lesson based on some plans from MOE (if i'm not wrong). No textbk needed.

At CME, it is conducted in mother tongue. For Chinese it is call Hao Gong Min.

Are u a P1 parent? My gal is in P2 this yr. Looking at the time table, the kids would have el, maths and mother tongue everyday. So u need to pack these books in (no need for el cos no textbk). Put in the 'A' books only (textbks + wk book). Also pack in 1 single line exercise bk, 1 checkered exercise bk. Put in the pupils' diary. If u have the A-star file, put it in too. The rest just wait for trs' instructions.

                Hope the info helps.

                  Hi brownie_06,

I got same problem too. Tomorrow got PAL and FTGP, dunno what to pack.

                  Hi Callie Tan,

Is from 10am to 12pm, think school will inform parents on Stella academic. Most of the work books have been kept by school. You can go to school sharepoint website to download on the stuffs that has submitted last week.

Go to P1 Info Booklet.pdf. On page 26 indicate what has been submitted.

Thanks for the information. My son kept asking me to pack his bag together with him. I kept telling him, we just need to bring your chinese and maths text book, dairy and your story books. That's it!

This is what I have understood so far:

Programme for Active Learning (PAL) - aimed to develop character and life-skills for P1 & P2 students like sport and outdoor education and performing and visual art.

Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP) - conducted in sch which has PAL module, think this is something like student holistic development and their social & emotional learning needs

                      Civics Moral Education (CME)

As what is needed to be packed into our child's bag, i have no idea too. Hope all the above will be addressed during the 15Jan briefing.
