E3, can you check yr dd's CCA list and let me know who is the teacher-in-charge of Chinese Society? It is not opened to P1/P2, so not listed on dd's list.. TIA...

It's my dd's CL teacher, Mr Wong P H. I guess since you know him, you can ask him about Chi society directly. ๐Ÿ˜„

Thank E3... i emailed to him already...send him my request and also to Mr Tan...

        Hey Jennifer,

We are curious to know how much nearer you are shifting to Pei Hwa.
Can walk to Bukit Timah market from new home ?

Think if I walk daily from new place to sch/mkt, I will lose my spare tyre very soon

We are moving to Signature Park (the blk nearer to the Toh Tuck exit).

Told my boy we wld try walking to sch first.

Good Luck On Your Walking Exercise ....
From Signature Park to PH :faint: :faint:
You Will Definitely Loose Your SPARE Tyre .... And MORE ....

I Would not attempt it Myself ....
Would Rather Hop on a Bus, and Stop at end of Jalan Jurong Kechil, Opposite Esso Petrol Station ....
        Then You Start Walking ....
Seems More Humane to ME ....

Thanks E3, i viewed that before. I am wondering whether they have purely Chinese Calligraphy in Chinese Society.

No, My Gal's Friend is in Chinese Society, But No Purely Chinese Caligraphy for PH.

Think They have for NYPS - Coz in the last Competition We saw many NY Students won many prizes ....

My Gal Has Been Chosen to Represent PH for External Competition, but No Formal Lessons - Only During Term Time, General Guidance on the Basic Caligraphy and Post SA2 Got Some Class that the School arranged for them to Attend .... To Kill Time, This Mummy think ....

My Gal has Recently Develop interest in Caligraphy at End of Last Year, and I Have Arranged for her to take External Lessons in the Singapore Chinese Caligraphy Society in Waterloo Street on Sundays. 1st Term Lessons has Started on 2/1/11.

And there is a Chinese New Year \"Hui-Chun\" Caligraphy Competition coming on 13/2/11 Sun at the Marina Floating Platform, 8.30am ....
          Should B Interesting ....
          Anyone Interested to Participate?

Who is your gal's teacher? Mr Tan Tiow Siong or Ms Goh Hwee Siang. My girl has been there for 1 and half years liao..

Don't worry... PH will have one Calligraphy champion in 3 to 4 years' time. haha.....you know who she is, right? Her teacher loves her writing...

Chinese New Year \"Hui-Chun\" Calligraphy Competition - last year my girl was the youngest participant. Actually, i was not very keen but both the principal and her teacher wanted her to go for the competition, probably for publicity purpose....unfortunately, this year cannot make it...because going for the school Living In The Ocean Sleepover Camp....unless my dd and i don't go for the camp....

                      Hi,

Can someone advise me on this CLIP (Creative Thinking and Learning Through Innovation Programme)? My son in P5 got this slip to participate in this program on Fri 2-3pm. However, the slip said nothing on the content, organiser (by PH teachers or external vendors), duration (1 session or many sessions throughout the year?), is it a general โ€˜how to be creativeโ€™ kind of program or more specific/practical by subjects? etc.

Is it useful? Can kids drop out after going for a few lessions (if it is not a 1-off lession)?

                      Thanks alot for advice.
