My P2 daughter got a form for extra bus service (later dismissal at 4.30). Is it necessary to sign up for this, particularly since there'll be swimming?

        Hi jacsplace
My P3 girl also got a form for extra bus service. We signed up as she will start her basic Malay course (free for all P3) next month and CCA soon.
For PTA, I remembered we attended a maths workshop arranged by them in 2009. The PTA also help to organized the SMPS Green Dots Fiesta cum Family Day last year.

I think they will invite you later for these meetings like tea, dinner etc, etc. If you attend the meeting then you'll know the members and participate in school vol.works. if you don't go to the meetings then you'll end up as a sleeping member like me  .

Ok, In 2010 there is no work shops for us, for Green Dots Fiesta cum Family Day as a member I didn't get anything extra as well as I didn't help the school.

What is the value of being a member?

Hmm, could it be an avenue for parents to volunteer their services to the school? BTW I read (in a Straits Times article?) some time back that parents' involvement in their children's school actually help their children. Perhaps the children are encouraged and feel more belonged or happy when they see their parents being involved with school matters? The involvement can be ad hoc and event-based. Volunteering also lets parents get to know the school and the teachers better. But anyway it's difficult for working parents to volunteer, will have to take leave to do so!

                        Hi

Anyone staying in Sengkang and sent DD to St Margaret’s Primary?

                        Your DD take School Bus?
Does the journey tired down your DD?

Planning to enroll my DD for P1 in 2012.

                        Regards
