Which consortium your ds going? Mine given ispark. He is mainstreamer and now feeling worried that he cannot do well.

Any ispark parent knows if they take care of mainstreamers by not rushing thru or skipping things like history which the GEPers have done it in P4-6 as social studies? Or how the school help phase in the mainstreamers? Do they stream them by English standard?

May I know what is your son's score for PSLE. I know kids in maintream who score above 265 are invited into ispark and you are allow to reject the invitation. My 2 friends' ds rejected the ispark invitation.

Actually this is a very interesting question which I would like to find out....I supposed for me, it is not so much about how they place the students into each consortium (so it is fixed), but rather....what are the different in activities or curriculum or???

when we asked the principal last time on this, we were told the criteria for iSpark, which is GEPpers, and the rest are posted randomly

then we asked whether any opportunity for mainstream high scorers to be in iSpark, the answer is non-committal and unsure, and what kind of entrance tests might be needed etc...so we did not ask further

This is a question parents have been asking year over year. The standard answer is except Ispark, the rest are allocated randomly. I believe it may be true as for my DS' last year Aphelion class, they have PSLE T-score range from 245 (DSAed) to 27+. Curriculum should be about the same as they take common test papers at year end.
