      Happy Mama:
Hi, after reading all your posts, I'm so tempted to buy the Bluesky bread maker. Can it only be found in Carrefour? Anywhere else that carries this brand? Many thanks πŸ™‚

Bluesky was the housebrand of Carrefour, but unfortunately, they are no longer carrying this breadmachine. Not sure about other range of things from Bluesky, but definitely no more Bluesky breadmachine from there and because Bluesky is the housebrand of Carrefour, you won't be able to find it elsewhere.

Hmm so based on your experience, the next best option would be Zojirushi or Panasonic?

No experience with Panasonic, so no comments, but for Zojirushi, I have nothing to say about the breadmachine though I know that it is a rather high end product and my only comments is that Zojirushi products lasts, provided they are from Japan, that is.

Just remembered a story, much to the dismay of Blobbi and schweppes .... Zojirushi breadmachines (those really made in Japan) are really made to last! πŸ˜›

I was a member of a cooking/baking forum a few years back and same thing like here, there was a hot thread about breadmachines and the usefulness of the different brands etc.

One lady said her husband bought a Zojirushi breadmachine from Sungei Road for only $10! 😎 Whatever for? :? From Sungei Road somemore, she commented! :x But her husband laughed it off, said he found the machine 'cute' and 'in good condition', so bought it home, more for the fun of it than the usefulness of the machine which he didn't know about! He likes to meddle with such gadgets, you see! πŸ˜‰

Okay, so since the husband brought home that machine, the wife decided to play around with it and was very surprised that it worked and found out that the machine was very useful in helping her make pineapple jam for pineapple tarts! And at that time when she posted that post, she already had that $10 Zojirushi machine for a few years!  So how lasting a Zojirushi machine is, is for Blobbi and schweppes to go figure!   πŸ˜›

More than 3-in-1...a Bread machine is really very useful....it basically settles breakfast or teabreak for me.

Now I just need to find a sturdy and good quality in baking one.

Sturdy seems like Zojirushi, made to last.... but quality of bread is what I am now not sure about.

Yes, that was a double steal for that Bluesky and I am still impressed by what Carrefour did! Think my first $59.90 also died of constant abuse by my heavy baking! πŸ˜‰

But your $59.90 is as big as the bull-cart's wheel with the mileage you are getting from Carrefour!!! :rotflmao: So envious...
