      Erm.... Red means ALOT of ppl registered.... :?

      Oh sorry i misunderstood the past balloting history....it's my first few days to review for P1 registration for my first kid. At first, i thought i have no chance to register him at Rosyth, but later on i find out we can still OPT to ballot.

      Do you think I still go for it? Anyway, all the schools that I like we will still fall under Phase 2C and need to ballot coz we are very far away now from other schools ๐Ÿ˜ž

      Dont know what to do now :?:

            If you don't take a chance at Rosyth, which school would you go for?

                Hi, there:

                My daughter is currently in G4 at a reputable primary school in Shanghai. We plan to send her to Singapore for further education some time next year. Weโ€™d like to get a proper primary school with Higher Chinese and English as 1st languages. After choosing the school, we gonna rent a apartment nearby, so the distance is not an issue so far.
                Any comments will be appreciated.

                  @Tina2001:

                  Sorry, not familiar with China's education system, but I suppose G4 is maybe Singapore's primary 4?

                  If that's the case, then you don't need to go through the P1 registration process this forum talked about so much. It's a totally different ball game.

                  From your profile, it's indicated you are a China citizen (and so is your daughter?) ? Then you will want to read up this site: http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/international-students/ for information on how to go about applying for a place in a primary school here.

                      All school in Singapore are proper school.

                      This Thread here is for parents registering students coming from Kindergarten going to Primary 1.

                      Looks like it maybe the same as the http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/81/Education_in_the_United_States.svg. G4 is for age 9 to 10, which Primary 3 or Primary 4.

                      Depends in proficiency in English, normally will get into Primary School 1 or 2 grade lower, seldom same grade.

                        Yes, my daughter is ten years old, in primary 4 in Shanghai. I was told that she might need one grade lower to get in school in Singapore. Sorry I may not get the right forum to discuss about it.

                        Although most of schools in Singapre are proper, definitely not all of them. Iโ€™m a foreigner, just donโ€™t want to be confused. Probably it is a good idea to take part in AEIS.
