Okie, Maid. U convinced me. I'm going to dust out the ole machine and give breadmaking a try again!! -
Happy Mama:
Haha, you want to get a machine now, but I want to make a loaf now, but problem is I have half a loaf of unfinished store-bought bread on the table!25hourmaid,
How I wish I can get it like NOWWW but no time now lei...

Actually I think I have some more pictures of jams and such, but don't seem to be able to find them when I need them, maybe have deleted them or they are archived somewhere in some CDs.

Oh yum. I love a fresh loaf of bread. Kaya too, especially the orange version (donβt know why must be orange).
Also would like to know the price of this bread maker. Canβt be cheap, right?
Is it easy to clean? Did someone already comment on this? -
Happy Mama:
I personally prefer the horizontal pan to the vertical pan, but my current Bluesky model has a vertical pan. Beggars can't be choosers since the price was right and most important of all, it has a jam function, think that is more important than one with a horizontal pan.Oh yes, one more question.... Is there any preference between horizontal and vertical bread pan? Any pros and cons? :?
Also, is it important to have one with a viewing window?
Why I prefer horizontal pan is due to the way the blade cuts into the loaf. I get more slices of 'nicer' looking bread from a horizontal pan as compared to a vertical pan, if you know what I mean.
Not sure if every breadmachine comes with a viewing window, but I think most do but if you have a choice, would be good to get one with a viewing window.
Oh yes, another important tip apart from the sequence of the ingredients is that you must never be tempted to open the cover to look at the dough, especially in the proofing stage. This is one lesson which I learnt from experience. Think has something to do with the air going in during the proofing stage or something like that. Read somewhere, but forgot what it is already. -

How much is the zoji machine?
Think ksi mentioned somewhere in the thread that it costs about $300 now, a price which I think is a little steep for a bread machine. It has to be very good in order for me to pay this price!

Planning more ahead already. Timing is of the essence.
Better 'strike' when the oven is still hot ...

schweppes:
Great, maybe the problem was with the recipe and not the machine itself. Good luck!
