CNY - do you look forward to it?

According to the recent reports, (Ref : statistical releases by the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS), the proportion of singles has risen significantly especially amongst the younger age groups in the last ten years, the Census of Population 2010 revealed) More Singaporeans are striking marriage off their checklists, over the past decade at least.

Chances are that \"Families\"are going to be included in the \"Extinct\" list, if this trend continues.

So dear frenz, be ROLE MODELS to our younger generations, do not waste any opportunity to attend family gatherings ( no need to wait for CNY for all those visits) try ur best to be with your loved ones, make a point to visit all relatives (whthr they are in ur best forgotten list or most loved list) in both sides of the family and Cherish all those moments....U ain't gonna get ém back!

Am sure this is the best we can give to our younger generations, before they too become Extinct!

Family Gatherings with relatives and loved ones may be more important than you might think. Do you sometimes consider that your family was the first school that you entered when you arrived on this earth. More importantly, Family Gatherings provides our children an opportunity to meet relatives, learn about the family ancestry, medical history and family values.


Developing positive relationships with family members actually plays an important role on just how successful and happy you might become later on in life. In addition, did you know that people with extended family connections tend to be more literate and often times reach out to get more education and better jobs? Some of us might even admit that Family Gatherings can often times be a lot of fun.

The family values developed through the years provided us with a solid foundation to love one another. Though technology affords us an opportunity to keep in touch more easily, we must caution ourselves not to rely too much on long-distance technological conveniences, like e-mail, Face Book, My Space and texting, cannot replace the experience of actually gathering in the same room with family.

those with single relatives, pls remember to be merciful and stop asking them when they are going to get married, why no bf etc…

Already bought all the necessary CNY clothes. Need to look for shoes. Did some spring cleaning last weekend. Great sense of achievement cos we managed to clear out a lot of stuff. Now waiting to see if the landscaping contractor can redo our garden in time.

Planning to bake some cookies. This is something which I did not do last time. Usually my mum will be the one making the cookies to give to everyone. This year she kind of delegated some to me.

Reunion dinners all planned and booked.

CNY for me means giving, and more giving.....and off course the IL'S and relatives drama sessions...

This year my challenge is to find out which close relative giving $2 angpow...

People who don't give red packet are 'sway' lor...bcos if they don't give, then they are considered 没有福气.
