                ksi,

                I just returned from Tangs.

Have checked out the model you provided.

I must say its really compact and cute looking.

But if I decide to get this model, will not get it from Tangs, too costly.

Besides Goh Ah Bee, there's also Parisilk in Holland V which provide reasonable prices on electrical products.

Thank you for starting this thread :celebrate:

And to 25hourmaid for motivating me EVEN more by posting her scrumptious looking bread and buns. I love my bread

Okie, for those who are interested, I saw two Breadmaker models by Severin, a trusted German made brand (though the sales lady couldn't confirm whether it is made in Germany, she did say that it was imported from there). They have both horizontal ($248) and verticle ($198) pans. I am providing the links below. This is also another brand I am considering. Will be checking out other brands in time to come.

                http://www.severin.com/products/cooking/breadmaker/bm-3986_1

                http://www.severin.com/produkte/cooking/breadmaker/bm-3989_1

Tangs might be having a post CNY sale and prices might be discounted.

ps: In the z brand range, Tangs only carries the model ksi provided (verticle pan). Apparently the horizontal pan range is not sold in S'pore (according to the promoter), only in US. I must go and recee other shops when free.

                Here is the link:

Wow another one chiong to tangs.... I am still here shopping on the phone, getting my best price for 2 items... πŸ‘…

Yes autumnbronze, no horizontal pan in Singapore but I think the vertical one size is good for small families especially if you want to eat fresh bread, you would not want to bake a big loaf and take a few days to finish. I like to eat within 1-2 days as there is no preservatives in home-baked bread so must consume fast. The horizontal pan cost too much if sold here so I think there is no market for it as people will go for other choices unlike in USA.

For bigger families, Severin is better cos it will produce bigger loaves.

Wow autumnbronze, you are so detailed! πŸ™‚ I chose Zojirushi because of it's size. So cute and compact! Plus salesgirl said the zojirushi pan is made of good quality so bread tastes nicer than the Kenwood one πŸ™‚
