my DD just brought back the notice about this Sat talk. It’s in the A folder. There is a form to be signed by parent if you are interested to attend the talk.

Alamak, I blurr!! I read the info seet and saw the form that needed to be endorsed but forgotten to do it!! I think must hand in by 14th right? -
Callie Tan:
It should be handed in by 13th which is today but 14th would be fine too as I believe the teacher would not mind late replies as there would be a tendency for late replies.dtks:

Did you manage to get a reply slip from the FT? -

Hi dtks, I submitted the reply slip on friday lor…
Anyway I thought the briefing on Saturday was quite informative. As I have missed the orientation for P1s in Nov 2010(or Dec 2010?), I am not too sure about many things about Pei Chun. After the briefing, I have a much clearer understanding of what the school is doing in P1, the expectations and our roles as parents in working together with the school. However, I have to rush off before the Q&A session, leaving my hubby behind but he told me nothing much wor…wonder whether he was paying attention… at least now I know what to ask my girl on what they are doing in school.
However, I feel a bit more stress up after the briefing… as a lot of emphsis is placed on reading, which my girl is not vey accustomed to till lately. I have to work harder to encourage her to read up more frequently now…
Can any parents advise me what is PAL? Is this cover during Orientation? -

My girl's FT totally ignore my email sent to her last week.... wonder what happened.... :?
I think we as parents have to be patient as the parents were informed that response time is ~ 2 h. While we may be waiting for 1 email, the teachers might have lots of emails to response and on top of that work to do.Callie Tan:
Emailed my girl's FT yesterday noon time, til now no reply... sigh...
Need to confirm the briefing this Sat as my girl has classes during that period so I have to make arangements... any parent has any updates on the briefing?
Why dont you call you the GO to ask about the timing as it is set up by the school. -

Hi sailormoon69,
May I know which class your child in? You may wish to add in to the class list of Pei Chun P1 students.
Did your child has any prior teachings on Hanyu Pinyin in K2?
Personally, I thought I am very good in hypy but yet I still get quite intimidated when I saw the worksheets (no chinese words/characters, ONLY hypy, even the instructions/sub-headings!) from my girl's enrichment centre... I must say it might be a tall order for some kids with little or no foundation in Hanyu Pinyin.
Are you able to coach??
