      acbj:
As for Chinese, I still do not know exactly who is her teacher...

I thought it was a Mdm Tan (during Orientation) but DD came home and said it's 'Gao Lao Shi'. I don't see any MT teacher on the website with that surname. I even asked if she is saying that the teacher is tall (Gao), but my DD corrected me and said her surname is Gao.

Are there trainee teachers (for attachment) in the school during this period?
I thought it is usually after June......
      Hi acbj,
The MT teacher you see during orientation might not be your DD's teacher. If you look at your DD's timetable....right at the bottom, it'll tell you who her Chinese teacher is and how periods of lessons are allocated for each subject/week.

Teachers on the website has not been updated. That was last year's. You're right, there are no trainee teachers doing attachment in the sch now. Even so, they won't take the class on their own.

I checked with my girl, she said her classmates also got to go to Graditude class during Chinese lesson as she is not so good in HYPY. And there are students from Graditude coming over to my DD class.

        Hi jesyeo,

Oh really?? Start splitting class already?? Very early this year. DD only split class beginning of Term 2 last year. How did the teachers assess the gals in such a such period? :scratchhead:

Good luck to your DD...hope she gets into Dance Club. πŸ˜‰

Now I got an even bigger headache. Transport on CCA day.. No sch bus right? I can't send her coz I need to pick up my DS. Next alternative is getting her a Taxi.. zzz

Btw, anyone has idea when the chinese teacher will split the gals up to diff classes..?? πŸ˜‰ My gal told me one of her classmates was told to go to another class...

                Hi autumn82,

That's right...no sch bus. Can any relatives or friends help you out? There are quite a few CCAs on Wed ...if you're lucky, you might be able to find someone from MCS who also needs to send their DDs to CCA from Sembawang..

P1 gals are usually banded after Term 1. So they'll be split into different classes in Term 2. Not sure why the gal in your DD's class got sent to another class....Hmmm.....Was the Chinese teacher absent today? Because the gals will be split into different classes according to their register number if their teachers are absent. πŸ˜„

I'm alienated living all by myself, most relatives in the east. πŸ˜‰ I do have another mommy who could help but not sure how long coz she might be heading bk to workforce soon.. So still must find another way out..

Ohhh, after Term 1... Thanks thanks!! πŸ™‚ My gal said it was the same chinese teacher and she said coz that gal doesn't know how to read, that's why she should go to another class..

My gal 1st chinese lesson oredi told me, \"mommy, my classmates all know the HYPY coz they attended tuition! Only a few don't really know how to read, including myself!\"

And that gal whom the teacher asked her to go to another class.. was coz she didnt know how to read... tsk tsk. Today I asked her, so which page did your chinese teacher stop? She said she was already teaching until page 21! I was thinking to myself, tat's fast... Only week 2...

Maybe most of the gals in the class know their HYPY so the teacher is moving at a fast pace.... πŸ˜‰

BTW, just out of curiosity, is your DD's Chinese teacher from China?

My poor gal~ if that's the case. Coz we hardly speak chinese at home. Tsk tsk. Not to sure if her teacher is from China though...

But on the 1st or 2nd day of school, my gal did told the chinese teacher that she doesn't really know how to speak or read chinese, then the teacher told her it's alright coz she knows how to speak english.. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

                        That's great! Problem solved. πŸ™‚

For me, I will need bring my DD to her CCA class by bus if she manage to in to any of them. Hope she will be independent enough to go grab her lunch after the CCA.
I'm sure your DD will be fine. All the CCA gals will go for lunch together. If you're concern, maybe you can pack lunch for her before hand to bring along. Some parents do that. πŸ˜‰
