Guess students in 'elite' schools are expected to know, so teachers tend not to spoon-feed them. One of the top schools I know have teachers entering classes and telling the students that she won't be covering a certain chapter since the entire class already knows. This is purely her assumption that these kids have tuition which covers topics way in advance.

Well, that's the price to pay for being in good or top schools... πŸ˜‰

Hi Parents,

Regarding P5 supplementary lessons, I understand top 3 classes don't have to attend. But for P6 students, they are required to attend 4x a week....so that means they leave home in the morn until about 530pm.

Where U Got this Info?
U Must Sack Your Spy!

My Gal Got Supp Lessons Tue & Thu 2pm to 3.30pm Last Year,
Same for P6 this Year ....

She's in Faith 5 Last Year, Got Supp Lessons What ....
And Till 3.30pm only, NOT 5.30pm ....

So all P5 classes have supp lessons lah.
'Spy' told me her friend's son in Loy 10 don't have any memo regarding this.

As for P6, supp classes 4x a week until 5+. True or not ?

so i presumed school will not cover anything more than εΏ…θ―»ε— and 必写字....

If that's the case, they should give out the moxie as reference rather than ask them to memorize and write out without really knowing application and meaning right?

i checked with my dd, \"Nope\"...
Hi E3

About P2 Science Expression, how do they select the kids for the programme?

Thanks...

You will receive a \"love letter\" from Science HOD. πŸ˜‰ All P2 kids will receive this letter. Last year, the letter was given before the CCA memos. I am surprised that you've not received it yet. Maybe they had decided to \"change\" this year? It is optional but most kids in each class will participate. It is conducted by external Speech and Drama instructors from \"Acropolis English Centre\".

http://www.acropolis.com.sg/

At term 3, all the classes will put up their own classes' productions for parents to watch. If I am not wrong, there was one similar one conducted for the P4s as well.

My DH was telling me that he heard from Science HOD that this year there will not be any Science Expression. I think they are renaming it to Speech and Drama but not sure if Science HOD will still be in charge... not sure if I heard DH correctly.... haha.... πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
yes...it is true....Drama Club took over.....I heard from my dd too....can't confirm that so asking E3....initially tot of letting her join the Science Expression....
