Oh I see, but then 25hourmaid made 3 mini loaves with 1 z loaf recipe. So if you need to make more, then you will have to double or triple your ingredientsHi Happy Mama,
Was thinking of baking a few loaves like 25hourmaid :). One loaf is only enough for supper n breakfast. We r bread eaters here too

Happy Mama:
One question... can we grill/bake them in the oven? or should it be toaster? So scared it will become Cao Tar!
The grill effect from the oven/toaster will not be the same as if they were grilled over charcoal fire or electric open face grill.Happy Mama:
Not sure which recipe you have seen but the gist of making bak kwa involves marinating the meat, speading them out thinly and evenly (that's the tedious part) and drying them (another time consuming procedure) so that they become 'sheet-like', cutting them into pieces and finally grilling them SLOWLY, (it is also very tedious especially if you do bulk grilling in my case) otherwise you get cao tar bak kwa.I saw the recipe, it looks quite simple. Why do you saw it is a tedious process? Or, did I miss out anything?
Any tips I should know before I attempt?
No tips, but by trail and error and lots of time and experimenting to get the perfect bak kwa. -

Oh I see. So to grill bak kwa, what electrical appliance should I get now? :? Oh dear, must spend more $$$ again.Happy Mama:

Those table top oven face electric grill. I am using one from Severin, very happy with it. :celebrate:
Depending on circumstances, we sometimes use charcoal to grill (at BBQ parties) the BK, sometimes use our trusted Severin (for small quantities). -

DO NOT attempt to use your mini Z to knead more than one loaf. You will overstress it. It's not called a mini for nothing.Hi Happy Mama,
