I'm not one with sweet tooth, so bak gua or not doesn't matter. But pineapple tarts are really addictive. Son and I like pineapple tarts. Ordered for him...but I think I better not start or my walking every morn will go to waste.

Hahaha, you are so right.

There is another way will stop me from eating pineapple tarts.That is to look at how it is being made.Look at the amount of butter and sugar rolled in, am quite sure one will think twice before eating…

I think I better hop by MIL house to see how much butter and sugar poured in…LOL…Used to know but forgot after not seeing it for a long long time…

Hi Lynn,

The amount of sugar used to marinate bak gua is many many times worse. My mum & I made pineapple tarts once…cooking the pineapple is painful…5-6 hours of continuous stirring on slow fire. That’s what we pay for.

Son is very skinny and he can afford to eat pineapple tarts.

For ba kwa, when i see the raw meat, already enough to stop me from eating in.Not so much on the sugar tho…cos I already dont like meat.

For pineapple tarts, it looks so pretty, so I forgot about what is being made of, most of the time…

My willpower is not that good...fortunately I wasn't brought up to eat in-between. But if I sit in front of the TV, that's it...one after another.
This bottle of pineapple tarts I ordered is from the lady who does facial for me...her customer asked her to help 'promote'. After eating several :oops: I decided to order it bcos it's not sweet and doesn't have that strong buttery smell.
