Hi Tianzhu,
Hi DharmaDharma:
Can you pls check whether the 2nd term is 5 or 6?
I think it's 6.
The likely sequence is 2,6,12,20,30,42,56
Best wishes
Thanks. Guessed as much.
The pattern is :
The nth term = n(n+ 1) -
So sorry to cause any confusion to all. Typo error instead of 6 typed 5. Thank you to Dharma & tianzhu for helping to solve this pattern. Is it common to find these type of Qns in PSLE?

Hi
Questions on patterns frequently appear in primary maths exam.You may like to take a look at some of the questions on number patterns from past years testpapers.
For last year’s PSLE question on pattern, you may refer to VC’s post @ Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:16 pm on pg 227 of this thread.

Draw the model using the following;Hi, could someone kindly help me with this problem? How to solve this using model?
Linda & Roy have a total of 255 stamps. Half of Linda's stamps is twice as many as Roy's stamps. How many stamps does Roy have?
Sincere Thanks.
Linda --> 4 units
Roy --> 1 unit
Half of Linda is 2 units, this is twice of Roy's 1 unit.
5 units --> 255
1 unit --> 255 / 5 = 51 -
Thanks Yu Xuan

9_ _ - 99 = _01
How ah???
but answer's ones digit is 1. Therefore, the hundreds digit of the answer must be 8
So, answer is 801
Work backwards
9_ _ - 99 = 801
9_ _ - 99 + 99 = 801 + 99
9_ _ = 900 -

Wkdays spent = 1/2 + 1/4 = 3/4.
That means he spends 3/4 of his week doing stuff. So the 115 days + 74 days = 3/4 of his days.
Time left = 1/4 overall
Days left must be 1/3 of the time spent, since that time was 3/4.
Hence time at home = 1/3 x 189 = 93 days.
In fact we can figure out that this is a period of roughly 10 months.
