hi. I had received my first purchase. orderd on 01dec and received 14jan, but the refund doesn't seem to have any update. will Dangdang update us the refund or we need to check with the credit card company? tks.

You can check with your credit card statement of account. I got my refund by the next statement cycle when my first order could not go through. So far, Dangdang seems like quite a professional company. My books arrived and refund also no issue. However, must be prepared to be patient. At least they don't run away with our $$.

      seashell,
ksme is right. You should get your refund by your next statement. Otherwise email dangdang and continue to chase them until you see your refund.
received the latest statment but can't see the refund. had wrote to dangdang and they mention will get back another 2 working days time.

My order was placed on Nov 18 and ding dong between them and me for the audit process. Finally order was confirmed complete audit and sent out on Dec 2. I received them on Jan 17. The books were delivered to my house. I believed it was by registered parcel.

I order twice from dangdang, all orders took about 5~6 weeks to my house.

        hi ctct61t,
For your 2 orders, did you order big amount of books or just few books?
        Thanks.

i have made my first order in dang dang for the whole set of \"xi wu kuai du\" as recommended by Tamarind.

initially i was so apprehensive to do so as read from this site it is such a complication process but becuz i am eager to get the whole set of the books i gave the order a try πŸ˜‰ & it is not as difficult as i read in the forum (just keep my finger cross that my books will arrive πŸ˜‰ as i do not have a Amex card, used Citibank, had a little hiccup over the online security code, other than that was alright... πŸ˜‰

thanks parents who had recommended dang dang πŸ˜‰

              hi doramon

i had ordered the \"si wu kuai du\" as recommended by Tamarind and I have read feedbacks from other parents. it is for my P1 DS and next time can pass down to DS2

you can go read the post on \"teaching chinese at home\" or the post from Tamarind.

thanks tamarind for your recommendations!

                Hi,

How do you all find the conditions of dang dang’s books?
Ordered once before and got dusty and slightly torn books.
So I’m quite hesitant about ordering books from dang dang again.

I would say mostly came in very satisfactory condition. If a few books were too big, then the edges may be bent. I am perfectly ok with the dusty part when the books are so cheap!!

:? I have not received the books but DD asked me to verify receipt. I guess it's an auto thing that once my order was shipped out and at the 8th wk, DD will remind you to click on the order to confirm receipt.

I took the opportunity to email them to check the whereabouts of my books, since even their system thinks I should have received the books by now.

So far I ordered long distance thrice, and all the packaging were torn. Singpost wrapped in plastic and once China Post 'gave' me one of their postal bags (very thick cloth material).

But luckily, some of the booksets are bundled together and wrapped, so the stuff escaped damage. A bit bent edges, I'm ok. And dusty - definitely so. And will still go back becos prices are cheap and books are wayyyy good.

You are correct, it's an auto thing. There was an order to a china address. Their courier didn't call to verify and just assume that cannot be delivered. It took 5 weeks for their courier to send back to warehouse. Meanwhile, my order was auto-ed to completed. But all's well that ends well. Just that I had to keep emailing them becos didn't 'fang xin' what the courier may do (bring my books home to read?).

So far, all my orders are on the dot - 8 weeks. I gave up hoping becos I know the books will arrive.
