I have a label maker, so now have to prepare a self-ink name stamp for textbooks and other stuff that are make of paper.

Actually nonid to prepare all these tools lah. I typed in name (chinese & english - add class if you want) into excel. Shrink to font 8 (for smaller stuff), font 14-18 for bigger ones. Copy and paste....then print and cut out. stick with scotchtape. More work I think but it's practically free.

this is a good idea, low cost and good. I have those name cartoon label stickers to stick the K1/K2 water bottle and book but does not last long. It will still drop off if wet. For clothes, i have the iron on name label but these came off after a few machine wash.

We have those \"Brother\"/\"canon\" branded labeller - more for water bottles, but the labels drop out after some washes. I did think to buy those cartoon labels, or make a stamp. But then thinking about WHAT info I need to include gives me a headache. At least doing the manual way I can decide and change at will.

For HWS uniform, cannot avoid sewing the name tags becos there is NO adhesive. I don't label other clothes lah - my DH will think me :siao: .

I will just have to pass the name tags for the sewing aunties to help. I failed my sewing one. I remembered making a baby dress during home economics, it was so bad I think the teacher pass me out of pity

oh yes, agree! the \"brother\" label printer also does not work for long.

Can i check, for school bag, do they need trolley bag or just normal carry back pack bags will do?

Long time ago, when I was doing PV in the old school, I understood (from office or someone) that trolley bags not allowed bcos when the kids need to climb stairs, it's dangerous and more heavy. But I do see a COUPLE of kids using trolley bags - so a bit confused there.

No worries on the bags, so far most of the stuff are kept in school so DS's bag ended up 'kang kang' (empty). I got a check list of what to bring each day - for eg, 1st day Eng and Chinese stuff, 2nd day maths stuff, 3rd day admin (like report book) & social studies stuff. It's very detailed. Just follow instructions.

My Brother brand label quite ok. They stick on quite ok, it's my kids who keep peeling and unpeeling that caused the label to fall off.

that's a good point. if walking on stairs is rather dangerous to bring the heavy trolley bag. All the P1 classrooms are on level 1 and that is good to prevent the younger kids from falling down.

Me bought SPI bag - rather have a sturdy ergo bag.


Go check out the array available - and grab one when there is a good offer. It’s quite mind boggling really. SPI/Deuter Ergo are not cheap. But I figure the quality should balance out. I saw Popular ergo bag and was at first kicking myself why never buy it…then I touched the bag. Case closed.
