      Hi acbj,
Not to worry, can try again next year if she's still interested in art.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If your DD is really interested in netball now, you might want to email Ms Chow Wai Mun to check if it's still possible to join??

She mentioned about netball but I am more keen in letting get used to Pri 1 first. She came home one day and asked me why I put her in this school where she needs to sit down for so long?

Needless to say, she loves PE lessons the most!!!

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Your DD is very cute!!! She's the active type...can't sit still for long type, is it?? :imconstipated: Next time, cannot work in office liao...

Slow and easy wins the race...give her some time to adapt to the longer hours of sitting around in class. ..keke. I'm sure Wednesdays must be her favourite day of the week. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have you looked around for an Art school/class to send DD to?
It seems like NAFA has very good teachers and is very popular, but from what I heard, it is very difficult/almost impossible to get in!
              :!::!:

I will tell DD to relax and get used to Pri 1 first...... if not, will just sign her up for those 3-4 days Art classes during the June holidays.

              Hi

She attended a holiday programme at abrakadoodle at east coast n luv it
The instructor there quite attentive as the class is small

See them stress wif sch wk n life alrdy so dun intend to get them smtg stressful during their restdays

Very informative. Thank you. My daughter is left handed so her handwriting can be terrible. oh dear......

Looks like I have to buy MT storybooks for her as she doesn't own any at all!!!
                Will note down your summary.

Left handed? No worries. My DD is right handed but she's got the handwriting of a typical boy, meaning not legible. Mrs. Tan even commented to me during registration at the hall. I feel so paisay. Honestly, I oso din have much MT storybook. Guess it's a gd time to start shopping for some.

By the way, 1Perseverance got back their spelling bk today. Dun forget to sign and there's handwriting hw today. Did yur DD wrote it down as well?

I have zero MT storybook. Now no choice but to buy but I'm homebound so I have asked my mom to help me buy this weekend.

Yes thanks - I got her to have the habit of passing me her helpmate and folder of worksheet when she gets home. She passed me her spelling book to sign, and told me of her Handwriting and English homework to complete.

One thing to add on, when showing the 2010 PSLE results for Mother Tongue, MCS results for both chinese and tamil are below national average. Seeing this, I am kind of worried as my DD is still speaking broken chinese now.. Thinking of signing her up for enrichment course now. Any recoomendation?
My DD oso speaks broken Chinese despite attendg berries. Y'day she told my mom:\"po po wo chong liang zi ji\". Eng transl: grandma, I shower myself. My mom had a gd laugh....but we Noe it's d eng way of structuring d sentences.
Tink may consider changg if DD dun fare well in her exams.

Jesyeo, hope your mum will get well soon!!

Cantbearit, I saw ur DD on Friday, waiting to go for R Gym. Sheโ€™s cute! Surprising, tho she takes e same school bus as my DD, they dun seem to know each other at all! By the way, DD got into the P1-P2 school team. My poor mum will have to bring her to school twice a week now. My mum has become so busy with her these days.

And thanks for the detailed write up on the parents briefing! DH was not paying attention and I din manage to catch some stuff as I couldnโ€™t really hear the FT.

Funkymonkey, I think I saw you, or rather your back. Your DD was wearing yellow PE shirt?

AbeT, congrats on your pregnancy! Do take care n rest well.. You know, with the new habit, your DD will learn to be responsible much earlier! My DD is still very much dependent, stilll too playful to be responsible for her own school bag and HW.

                        Hi preciousmoments!

My DD \"tasted her own medicine\" last weekend. She was allowed to play on the computer on Sunday after dinner. I asked her to pack her bag before playing and she suddenly realised that she has forgotten to do her HW! In the end, she forgone her PC time to complete her HW.

Hv to make them learn to be responsible.
