All About Ordering Birthday Cakes
-
I remember Lanaβs chocolate cakes were so heavenly when we were school kids, anxiously waiting for someone to have a birthday so we could all savour the cake. These days, I find Lanaβs quite ordinary. But I wonder if it could perhaps be because weβre so spoilt for choice now and our palates have grown more sophisticated.

i agree with you on the choices available now.
there was no competition in the early days of Lana. Now, there are alternatives. -
I haven't tried choc cakes from Chocabloc and Jane's Cake Station. Can anyone tell me if their cakes are nice? Are they comparable to Lana and Awfully Chocolate?

I've tried Jane's Cake Station...not bad.
Lana's chocolate and pinapple cakes were my favourites when I was younger...each time there is a birthday coming up, it will definitely be Lana. The chocolate is still nice...just ate in early Jan. -

Jane's cake station location not too convenient... Jalan Kayu right? Mmm.. I'm drooling for either Lana or Awfully Choc now   but I think Lana's closed tomorrow, so looks like I'll drop by Awfully Choc tmwI've tried Jane's Cake Station...not bad.

Jln Kayu is way too far. Don't think I want to go there again to buy a cake when I have Lana much nearer...although open only on certain days.
My kids love Lana chocolate and I found myself eating quite a bit too, although not one with sweet tooth. Alamak, I am hungry suddenly just thinking of it. -
Awfully Choc has a lot of new varieties. Their multi layer chocolate cake (I forget the exact name) is so-oooo decadent but good.

You mean the choc banana? Actually I still prefer their original i.e. Choc only

Happy Mama:
Not the choc banana. They have this new one that they sell by weight. It's a huge slab of about A2 size which they cut out pieces, and sell them by weight of the slice. It's a multi layer chocolate cake. Similar to their original choc cake, but richer, more layers and very sinful.jtoh:

They also have poached chocolate, cupcakes etc. -
