Both our kids have the same MT teacher, Huang Lao Shi, I also did not receive it. Perhaps we could update one another if either one of us finds it in our kids bag.

My DS is blur and careless...I always have to chk with him many times before he remembers or tell me something sigh...!!!

DD brought home her zhao4 ju4 book but she didn't copy all the words in time. So i'm not sure what are the other words that she's suppose to zhao ju with . Do you have the list of words?

Maybe you would like to take a look and judge for yourselves whether the standard is indeed so horrendous.

My colleague was a chinese teacher who taught the gifted stream at RGS. I will ask him for his comments.

I have , in fact, my DS came back with a slip of paper with the words on them. For now, I can only remember 4 out of the 5 :oops: . I will let u know the last one this evening..

Thanks!!! My dd told me she folded paper and stuffed it somewhere... She searched her whole bag and couldn't find that paper. I was so mad with her.. The paper is already very small, and she folded it into something even smaller and worst, it's missing!

Yes, it was on a small strip of paper . Dont worry...i will let you know this evening.

Preggie...I am sorry :oops: I cannot locate the paper on my side and also Huang Lao Shi has collected the 'zhao ju' book from my DS so I cannot check

My colleague shared that the standard is not horrendous although it's not perfect either.

Some of the things pointed out by xiaoxiaojizhe is wrong or not entirely correct. He commented that this publication is suited for P1s and 2s. The levels above will be using Da Mu Zhi as reading material.

Anyhow, we don't have a choice, do we? If the school wants the whole level to subscribe and I'm the only one who doesn't, then it'll be my DD who will lose out........
