Maybe you would like to refer to my previous replies in this post for your questions.
As for balloting, it all depends very much on the distance. What’s the distance frm GESP to your house? Are you less than 2km? Last year, GESP had balloting for those who stay over 2km under Phase 2C Supp. However, looking at the reduce no of vacancies this year, you may have to do your planning properly as no one knows if there’ll be balloting for Phase 2C in GESP this year.
As for BRPS, I’ve neighbours children who’re studying there…& their feedback is ‘not so good’. Never ask them further.

Thanks received. I had added some more questions.
How was yr guts feeling in trying GESPS after Lill explanation?
Their PSLE seem have a lot to be improved.

Understand that last year at Phase 2C(Supplementary), only have 4 places left for balloting. Currently GESPS do not have PV scheme, at the most is 2A(2) where some old boys & girls would be trying to enroll.

So those stay more than 1Km better plan the strategy well.

Based on past history, GESPS maybe at end of phase 1 should be around 30-35% taken up by now.

My place to GESPS is more than 1km but less than 2km. My choice is for RMPS (also more than 1km but less than 2km). However, seem like that vacanices is lesser this year in each school. Therefore, might change my mind to GESPS instead. Hope to avoid balloting…

I’m hav to let my boy attend student care. Perhaps GESPS has a in house student care which will be better too.

I did try to call GESPS to check abt how many % has been taken up by Phase one but the person ans the call did not review the %. Seem like the staff is not so helpful…

I also try calling up RMPS…they told me abt 50% taken up by Phase 1 already…

ZDPS & RMPS have balloting at Phase 2C for those staying (1-2Km).
Perhaps this year would be very close to the same result.

I think your question was directed to Titank, because he was the one who advised on the 4 places left.

According to the balloting history, in 2008, 80% of the places were taken up by Phase 2C, meaning there were 54 places left for balloting in Ph 2C Supp. From the balloting history table again, 110 places were taken up by Ph 2B, which means there were about 105 applications for Ph 2C when there were 160 seats available. Hence, if you had applied to GESPS in Ph 2C, your child would be guaranteed a place in GESPS. If you had chosen to fight for the 54 places available in Ph 2C Supp., the closer your house is to GESPS, of course the better.

Given the reduced places available, I would say, yes, your chances are rather high if you apply for GESPS in Ph 2C. The school may need to go for balloting for people staying beyond 2 km.

Zhang De did not have balloting in 2007. However, due to the success of their open house last year, they had to undergo balloting for applicants staying beyond 1 km. Given the fact that they have an open house in July, I think the school will have balloting, too, for those staying beyond 1 km.
