It’s tough to plan a time table with all the extra supp lessons in school. As it is, 2x a week already lessens the time to do essential revision. Really can’t imagine throwing in CCA as well.

Revision is crucial as just doing homework is not enough. Kids do homework bcos they have to.

You are 100% right. sometimes I planned to do some pages in maths but end up with 2 pages only.because of my mistake, no propper planning and time management. homework is not bad actually is another way of practice. they need to practice what ever they study at school.

My concern is whether the kids complete the hw bcos they have to, and whether anything goes into their heads. Some schools give so much hw that kids consider their ‘job’ is done once hw is completed.

Honestly I feel that kids do hw bcos they have NO choice…either get them done obediently or face the music. So in the their haste to finish hw, I doubt much/anything will be absorbed into their brains.

:salute: I accept your point. When my daughter was in K1,K2 she went to kumon and she enjoyed it the when she came to P1 I saw her doing Kumon as a task she had to do every day. and something like a pain in her neck. if I call her or remind her to do the kumon she feels like :torchme:

Yes, it's a great book!! I bought the 2A book for DD2. She enjoys doing it. Now, I'm waiting for the P6 ones to come out for DD1. Does Popular have the 20% voucher for the Mar holidays???

Nope, March doesn't have any 20%. This title is rather ex. So I am waiting for the 20% discount in June.
