      comfy:

Thks periwinklejoy for your concern. Well, that is what I said to her too but she said that teacher seem to be looking at everyone, hence very difficutl to think like what your DD has suggested. I think the teacher has very high expectation and expected them to be experts in doing their homework. Actually on impulse I feel like telling the form teacher regarding this but then I decide to wait a while and see whether my DD can get used to it & see whether her academic result iwill be affected. Maybe can also take this opportunity to train her to be more thick-skin and learn to accept such teachers. Seem like forcing her to mature faster.
My advice to my kids is always - you cannot chose your teachers, just like pa pa / mummy cannot chose our boss (it applies to them in the future too!). Learn to accomodate the styles of different teachers, be yourself, do your best and you should turn out fine πŸ˜‰

But I do agree - kids who are so heng to get good, dedicated teachers are very very blessed, and do have an advantage to perform better in school just for the fact that they enjoy the lessons, are motivated so will learn better. Sadly so far, my kids have not got such good luck .. 😞

Nope, no friends at goodluck gardens. Think I'll just pay for a mini tt table at home so that we can play the game anytime we like.

Come to think about it, my own dad never once played any sports with me before. No wonder I grew up feeling that something was missing. 😒
If u get one, pls let us join in the game

                Hi everyone,

My kid is in K2 now. I'm thinking to move nearer to PH for P1 registration for my kid, any idea whether Signature Park is within 1km from the school?

Is this condo good? Anyone here able to share your experience about this condo?

                Thanks in advance. πŸ˜„
I believe Signature Park is within 1km of the sch.

We moved in a few days ago. Hence was MIA for quite some time. The condo has a few configurations. http://www.propertyguru.com.sg has its floorplans for the various sizes. There is a Cheers minimart with very friendly staff. The mgt office staff are also very helpful.

There is a games room with a billard table and a mahjong table. I found this very interesting.

The previous condo I stayed in has a cafe, a night clinic and 2 provision shops that offer laundry/dry clean services. Unfortunately, Signature park does not hv these. So I wld need to get used to a little inconvenience.

The environment is very peaceful. No rowdy neighbours.

                  HI Jennifer,

                  Glad to 'see' you back.

                  Hey everyone,
It's going to be CNY soon...have you all bought food to stock up your fridge yet ? School will be dismissed on 10am this Wed.
Can check with u the textbooks P5 pupils are using this year? I am still keeping my elder boy's textbooks. If the sch is not using anymore, I will discard them. Really hard up for space now. Many thanks.

Some time ago, a few of you were discussing about reckless PH bus drivers. This morning, I witnessed it for myself when I was sending DD to school.

I was appalled to see such bad driving habits of the driver. We were all in the queue to get out of Bt Timah exit (I was the first car near SHELL waiting to turn left), when the bus driver cut out dangerously from the right lane of the bend, and immediately swerved to cut into the left lane of the straight road. Missed my car by a few mm causing my car's front sensor to beep incessantly. In order to prevent him from scraping my car, I had to also reverse my car along the bend (when the car behind me was also inches away), just to let him pass in front of me?! While cutting out, he also almost hit onto another car which was in the queue!! Can you imagine, if I had not given way to him, it would have caused an accident and the entire bus-load of kids would have been late for school?

Next, for whatever reason, within seconds of cutting into the left lane to enter the school, he swerved to the next lane, all within seconds.. and seconds later, again he tried to cut in the left lane, just to enter Pei Hwa Road, almost causing an accident with another car!!

Can you imagine me witnessing the bus driver causing so much chaos and incessant horning all within that few hundred metres stretch of road amid the heavy rain??!! I cannot imagine the journey along the way before reaching Bt Timah exit!!

Worse still, there was a boy standing at his seat on the left front of the bus, just beside the driver. Gosh, he wasn't buckled but was standing instead!! If the accident had happened, this poor boy would have been thrown off his seat!!

I think parents should feedback to the bus company to \"educate\" their drivers on good (or at least better) driving habits and also ensure that all kids are seated and buckled... OR... If P is reading this thread, please do something about it, as it concerns bus-loads of PH kids' safety...

To all the PH daddies out there, in case you are thinking, must be lady driver kayu to cause all these... πŸ˜‰ Thank goodness DH decided to tag along this morning, for the fun of it. He witnessed everything and agreed I wasn't at fault at all... yeah!! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Other than the change in title for Math, the rest remains the same.
Math textbook from this year has changed to 'My Pals Are Here' by Marshall Cavendish...no longer 'Shaping Maths'.

If I am not wrong, there is only 2 blocks in Signature Park that is within 1 km, the rest are 1-2km. Do check.
