I like single session, more time for the children to do work. Currently there is little time at night for studying. Complete homework, learn ting xie/ spelling + reading => time for bed, especially now I'm trying to get my DS to sleep early.Callie Tan:
I think it's less intake. Currently their intake of P1s are higher than most primary schools. I don't think they'll expand the premises.
High chance this might happen...
Luckily P1 and P2 still considered honeymoon years.
My girl will definitely prefer morning session... she has been saying she doesn't like coming home when the sky is dark...

Yes given a choice I’d prefer morning session. I always feel that the mind is very fresh in the morning and is easier to absord whatever is being taught.

Hi,
My daughter was given a stack of Chinese papers for recording Chinese storybooks she has read. But u must fill up 5 storybooks a piece then either re- draw cover or write abt 1 bk. My question is : is there any time frame to complete a piece( which is at least 5 books) or the kid cn take their time?
Any mummies cn enlighten me abt this ? -
hi georgie_cch, I was similarly surprised to see the book review list, especially when it was not listed in the student diary as a homework item. My girl said that its to be done at home with no hand-in date specified…I am not too sure about that.
BTW, to any/all P1 parents out there, any idea where your child has progressed for Math? My daughter said that her class has been doing number bonds for quite a long time le. Well, at least for eng I know they are at big book number 3 or thereabouts and for chinese, I get to see their worksheets and spelling list…so far very little heard/seen of Math. -

I called the school and spoke to the Chinese teacher. She said that instructions are given when the worksheets are distributed. Alamak...Hi,

Anyway, she explained that there is another teacher who will tell a story everyweek during the chinese reading lesson and the kids are to recite or to tell the story to parents in Mandarin... then we sign. These worksheets are for the whole year.... those pages behind are for extra curriculum reading on our own pace....
I hope I have shed some light on the worksheets because after the conversation, I still a bit blurr... -

You can refer to the maths workbook to find out more about the progress in Math... I checked my girl's last night. They are doing addition now, already finished with number bonds... -
