The BASC is not free but as your child study in Gan Eng Seng you are able to enroll. It is not open to outsiders.

my scenario is like this :

my son is gg to P1 in 2010 and im using my mom I/C to register him.
she stays at tanglin halt road which is just behind NEW TOWN PRI , because both me and my husband are staying at Woodlands address.
my son is in Queenstown sparkletots childcare since Nursery.

which school will have a better chance from my preferred choice below :

1 - GAN ENG SENG PRI
              2 - NEW TOWN PRI
              3 - QUEENSTOWN PRI

Queenstown & New Town Primary would place you in the 1-2Km using the parent's address. Gan Eng Seng I think would be more than 2Km category

I would think New Town would perform better than Queenstown in terms of PSLE standard. SInce your parent staying at Blk 89-91 Tanglin Halt then New Town would be a better choice.

You can save the logistic in terms of school bus.

That is just my personal thought so hope don't influence you.

                      hi titank,

how i wish my mom is staying at those new blocks but ‘‘unfortunately’’ , she is staying at blk 32 tanglin halt road.

                      hahaha…good guess try thou.

actually my preference is GESPS follow by NTPS but in terms of conveniency is wld be NTPS.

but worrired NTPS is not so good in their academic as i see GESPS have more school programme and award than NTPS.

Actually not many people had been on discussion on QPS & NTPS. There was some discussion on GESPS, maybe you can follow search the earlier thread.

Nowaday many schools need to acheive \"KPI\" so need to get many awards. Seeing these school hang the banners where I find that it is no meaning to me.

Wow Blk 32 Tanglin Halt, I remembered the old days where there is a malay house sell jelly at 10 cents at the 1st floor. Anyway you would be in Phase 2C, go to GESPS on 4 July to check out thier open house. Does NTPS having any open house?

Why don't you consider Woodlands where there should be some good primary school around?
