          Hi Hifive,

From my understanding, Admiralty primary is very academically aclined, which i guess will add up stress level to your child.
Hi wen2gal, what do you mean by academically inclined? If lots of homework but poor PSLE results and poor CCA is still bad. I am unable to find their PSLE results (percentage passes) so have no idea if that is the case.

Anyone else knows more about this school? Its one of the nearer school to my place.

I think this year there is at least 1 student that got >270 and that brings up the score.

I have a daughter studying in Si Ling Primary School and she just got her PSLE results. The school performance is generally quite good and better than woodgrove. My daughter is in the best class and the whole class achieve a's/a*'s in all subjects except Science as one of her classmates attained a b. The highest PSLE score is 274 and the principal is from Woodgrove Primary. Not that stressed there and the teachers are very caring. They even had the Adam Khoo Camp for free this year to motivate them. Generally a good school! 😄

                Hi Linda,

I am planning for my son P1 in 2 years time. I stay in Woodlands. May I know more about Si Ling Primary School? Seems like the popularity is not high for this school. Do you have any idea why? Or do you find Si Ling is absolutely a good school? Thanks for your advice.

The principal was from Evergreen Primary. The PSLE performance at Si Ling varies quite largely each year, it just happens this year the top student was really exceptional and did very very well. If i'm not wrong, the scores of the top 1 or 2 classes to the scores of the other classes - there is quite a big gap.

The teachers there are very caring and good, the school has some good programs. If your kid is smart, then go what school also no problem cos the teachers allocated to good classes are always v gd. I think one of the reasons its not a very popular school is because of the profile of the students who are there, many come from less-advantaged backgrounds, as well as many from malaysia. (I'm not saying malaysians are lousy, most are smart, just that they make up quite a large proportion)

if you were to look at this site, http://www.channeleducation.com.sg/2010-Primary-Schools-Ranking-in-Singapore.php, Si Ling is one of the lower tier schools, even though the top psle score was top 20.

but it's location is good. Very short distance walk to Civics centre/causeway point.

                    Hi

Are we talking about Si Ling's principal, Mr Sivam Reddy? If so, he was my DS's ex-principal and he was from Greenwood Primary. 😄
