I can answer. APS charges $113.40 per month - one holiday week every year (payment as usual). it's very structured, so that's good. But traffic gets really hairy (for drivers) on weekends.
Ya I know it's a survival skill. I've been putting it off........But with so much news about floods, maybe it's time for me to review the timing. Sigh....my nearest swimming pool is the one by Mr Ang Peng Siong, dunno how much he charged. If kid able to swim before they are in P1, does it mean they do not need to take it up?SAHM_TAN:

P1 no mention. Although this is part of my kids' itinerary becos I think it's a must have skill.
I dunno ans to your 2nd q; but if they already know, I don't think they must take it up - quite weird if they have to right? Anyway, swimming is not one of the cca (at least nothing I remember)[/quote]OH yes.. Swimming is not a CCA but it is compulsory for P4/P5. Anyway, the SMC is trying to get MOE approval to build a swimming pool in HWS. Hope we can get the approval soon. -

If the child knows how to swim, can he/she be exempted?

For any interested parent, each year SCO (SG Chinese Orchestra) has a couple of performances that are for kids (similiar to Baby Proms by SSO). We went last year and it was really good. Tickets not as hot as SSO Baby Proms and very entertaining also. Also, I recall tickets were cheaper. Can surf their website for info. -

Wushu is a highly discplined sport. The training is obviously tough but it is good for children to build up physically and mentally. Besides the sports build his composure. The Wushu training is tailored in Hong Wen as part of character education too. It is worth it.my child juz joined the school in P2 and keen to take up Wushu for CCA.
Any parents can share if the training's gonna be tough?
Betw, which are the 'better' classes in P2 this year as I understand there were banding fm P1 to P2? Thanks!
The better classes are only only found in P5/P6. From P1-P4, student are streamed based on his learning abilities. -
