Hi, I don't really get what you mean. As there's no form submission, not sure what submission date you referred to. The effective date should be the date they confirmed you as EM (it depends on when the recommendation by Chairman is put up). If you have question about the date, you should check with your CM/Chairman, especially if the date disqualifies you for P2B privilege the following year (see earlier posts).

Effective date meaning the date on Chairman recommendation letter or PA approval date (cos Chairman letter need to go to PA. Right ?)

From my experience, there is no letter from Chairman to PA. Not so formal. PA will monitor the duration of Observers and seek Chairman's input for confirmation as EM. Chairman can also initiate this process. Chairman can decide or go to Committee for consensus to confirm an observer to be EM. If ok, PA will proceed and the date should be PA Approval Date as you mentioned. However, there are other factors to consider like whether the RC already max out the max. of 30 EM stipulated by PA. There is not cast in stone process and this is what our RC did, others could be diff.

              Hi timtim

              Still very blurrrrr....appreciate your help.

First, a parent join as Observer, eg. Feb 2011. Then this parent gets EM status by Jun 2011 (if at all possible during such short time). And in order for this parent to register P2B in Jul 2012 for admission in 2013, this parent needs to get EM status by Jun 2011 inorder to be able to register in Jul 2012 for admission in 2013.

So you must get EM status at least 1 year (eg. Jun 2011) before you can use this status to register for your child in Jul 2012.

Sorry i am slow but it the above correct? :?

              Thanks again.

Do they only issue EM status once a year during Jun every year or the EM status can be conferred anytime of the year?

EM can be appointed anytime. You're welcome.

A big thanks, timtim, for your kind advice and patience.

The only trouble is, it seems very late for those having 2006 kids to try this route now. How I wish I knew and seek your advice earlier..........

                        Hi

I’m interested in volunteering in grassroots both for the purpose of helping as well as getting into P2B.

My GRC is East Coast, my NC is Opera Estate.

How do I check the list of schools in my NC or GRC?

                        Thanks
                        Janice
