LKVM:
Yes I was asking that one.. i c so after u rolled it flat then u kept in the oven after making the shape right? but the 1st pic also looked as if little baked :?
No, only the last 3 pictures were the baked loaf. The rest were unbaked. I think I know why you said the first picture looked as if it's a baked product. I subsituted the sugar for brown sugar, that's why the dough looked a bit brownish. -
LKVM:
Now got it and you used the same sweet and dough function in the B machine right? then bake in the oven
I always do two steps to all my oven-baked breads and buns. It gives the loaf a softer texture.
Use the \"Sweet\" function first. If dried fruits are needed, I would add them after hearing the \"beep\" sound. But if it is a plain loaf or buns, I would move to the next step listed below.
I would stop, reset the machine and set to \"Dough\". Even after the dough is done, I would still proof my loaf further for between 20 mins to one hour. The extra proof gives the loaf a much better texture.
Hope that helps. -

Okie... finally some time to post my story on my (mis)adventure and attempt at making swirly coloured bread.
Just this past Mon, decided to bake and experiment on swirly bread after work. As wanted to try out my version on natural food coloring, I pounded separately half a punnet of blueberries and 1 mandarin orange (yes... yes.. complete with peeling irriting membranes out...)
After separately pounding them, I sieved them into 2 ramekins, one blueish-red and the other orange.

So, set my bread machine up - used the white bread version - and let it do the initial rise and knead. At the \"Add\" ingredients mode, I poured in the colouring, one colour at a time. I wanted to experiment the colouring using the breadmachine w/o having to take it out at dough setting and bake in the oven.
And that's when experiment went awry and the misadventure started...
Even tho I reduced the original water content, the dough became very squishy :!: And when I closed the lid, there was this \"pick piak\" sound, I peeped in the window and can see my blueberry juice and OJ spit splatting away
I hurriedly off the main switch and the inner machine was splattered with juice
:x
Decided to give the inner mach a wipe down. dh had to help pour out the excess liquid. My dds were exclaiming away... aiyoh... it was drama at home
After cleaning up as much as poss, we fixed the bread tin back into the machine, switched on the main switch, and the machine just carried on where it left off.
Result: the bread did not rise as much - but that's ok, as I know that the dough was a bit wetter than usual.
As for taste, tasted and looked like white bread, maybe a bit browny but NO swirly blueberry blue or orange hues
Comfort myself by saying that it's \"white bread that is enriched with natural fruit flavours\"
Well... at least I gave it a try. But no \"2nd\" prize to collect yet
ps... no, did not take pics of bread. after all the drama that nite, i too tired liao

To celebrate reunion dinner with family, I experimented and made Strawberry and Lavendar Cake for dessert. :politebleah:
I followed the butter recipe. At add ingredients stage, I added in strawberry jam and lavendar flowers (I buy lavendar flowers to make lavendar tea for my family). I find the cake colour a little too brown for my liking but I think it's because of the vanilla essence that I added.

Everyone loved it and happy to say that my mommy and daddy were quite impressed with me
