      Augmum:
happy mama,i bot the dark caramel one.

dark sauce.....wonder is that sweet sauce.
last 2 days, i just went to Giant supermarket (at tampines) to buy one,
the shelf has only few bottles left....i saw quite a number b4 the CNY.
fyi, this dark sauce is not salty at all, u can try it b4 adding it to your cooking.
Thanks Augmum. I went to NTUC Finest at Bt Timah this morning but they don't carry this brand. 😢 Looks like must get it from Giant.

jtoh, so did u try out my recipe of ę¢…čœę‰£č‚‰ ??

i remember the other time u were asking for the ingredients, any feedback for me ??
Actually I bought ingredients to try your recipe. Happily shopped for all the ingredients (except the black sauce since I wasn't sure, so decided to use my own first).

Then when I reached home and was going through the recipe, I realised I forgot to buy MEI CAI! How to make Mei Cai Kou Rou withtout the Mei Cai?! 😢 So I ended up tweaking the recipe and made Kou Rou instead. :stupid:

Thank goodness, DH, DD and my parents loved it and said it was delicious! Thanks for the recipe.

for Kou Rou alone, i forgo the tomato sauce and chilli bean sauce, but i still add some dried chilli to it.
oh ya...put in some ꔂēš® (cinnamon sticks) together with some star anise.

happy mama, recently i have seen it at ntuc supermarket, not sure abt ntuc finest.
in the past, this brand of dark soya sauce is not commonly seen,
but nowadays not so, i had also ever seen it selling at sheng siong.
