my gal is with phyllis riccia school at woodgrove.

I did not consider MMI at vista pt cos i am looking for childcare. My gal attended the weekend class before and i feel that the premise is abit small and no toilet inside the sch. meaning they got to go to the public toilet at vista pt.

I visited MMI CC at blk 750. The fees are higher than what i am paying for my gal and there are no activities in the afternoon. Hence i did not choose MMI cc

Yes, LV is slightly more expensive but there are others that are more expensive than them. They are part of Learning Universe which owns Oddysey and one more I can’t remember. Fees are about $850 - 1000 depending on outlet. It is a child-care.

For MMI, they have both CC and kindy. Sembawang and Woodlands Ave 4 are CC. Vista point is a kindy but so expensive! $1650 for 4 days (Mon- Thurs only!) Speech & drama not included. Actually Sembawang MMI is not bad, the one at Ave 4 is not so good.
Anyways, my DD is attending LV elsewhere because LV happened to open one near where I work. Overall, I find their curricullum so-so…teachers are important though, if curiculum good but teachers don’t execute properly, also no benefit to child.

Went there before but find the place small and messy??..Ms Su’s presentation there was quite impressive though… however they are not really phyillis riccia right? perform@ junior is what they are? I’m just worried about the cleanliness…

the Principal came from Perform at junoir and also some of the staff. I personally think the programs are interesting and my gal also have no complains of this sch (this is her 2nd cc.. as compared to the 1st, she is enjoying this sch) cleanliness is acceptable for my standard although the floor might feel sandy at times. Ironically my gal 1st cc was very clean and practice high level of hygiene but my gal was sick very frequently. In phyllis riccia, she is better (touch wood)

Hi all, been enriching reading through this thread thus far and am appreciative of the valuable inputs provided.


My son (turning 19mth) is at LV@Vista Pt and I have to say I’m pretty pleased with the standard of the teachers notwithstanding the hygiene of the place thus far. My son’s form teacher is Farhanah and I note that she is quite composed despite handling a couple of toddlers at one go.

Am currently paying $545 per mth for half day session but wonder if it is too steep, thus would like to seek some feedback from the rest here.

Don’t mind stretching abit on my pocket but would like to know if I’m deemed to be paying for standard worthy of the penny though.

Also like to enquire if anyone out there is making payments in partial from CDA and the remainder by cash and or GIRO deduction. I was informed today that they were not able to accede to my request due to a new ruling from the HQ.

Why do you want to transfer your kid out of edelweiss?? My DD is with edelweiss now, just started... hmmm... she never comments much about the school, so I presume it is simply that, a normal school. Cos the teachers at edelweiss look really young....

Of course, if there're better options, I'll switch her!

I tried the MMI at Woodlands ave 4, not very happy with the place and teachers. MY DD was there for 2 weeks and wasn't happy at all. Put her to LV instead. MMI enrichment at Vista Point is very good with very high standards but totally agree it is highly $$$$!!! I just went for an assessment before CNY, student-teacher ratio is low and definitely will prepare them for P1 but it is only good if the child enrols with them from Nursery level. Like mine who is already K2, a bit too late la... can only consider for 2nd DD.

Tried LV at RP, no chance la if you are not a staff....they are at full cap most of the time! Long wait list too!

same, my boy din tell me much abt edelwises, and the teacher are like sooo young..that is y i am sourcing for other option. somore, he take sch bus, morning 6.30 wakeup, bus ready at 7.15..he has no appettide to drink milk coz too early..

My daughter will study in K1 next year 2012.

Actually i plan to let her study in PCF kindergarden at woodlands dr.75 coz is very near to my home. But my most of my friends commented PCF kindergarden no good, so i am confuse now. I am a housewife, so my daughter will take half day class.

Any mummy’s child study in PCF kindergarden in woodlands drive 75, could you share your experience?

Any other kindergardens can recommend? not the expensive one.

Can i get subsidies from government as i am a housewife.

Appreciate for any input. Thank you.

if you gals don't mind a bit of travelling, U can try active learners at blk 306a #03-03 woodlands st31 near to fuchun CC (63688522)

My boy loves the school. The teachers and principal are nice and they love the kids truly. The principal really prepares the kids for p1 in terms of social and academic.
U can use CDA to pay for the fees.
