The discipline mistress is right. This is not common and had never happened before or at least during the 4 yrs my girl is there.

She is a prefect now and she told me the prefects are given duties to patrol all classrooms, esp P5 level, during recess to prevent anyone from gog back to class during recess.

I think the sch is stepping up to prevent thefts from happening. But we must also teach our kids to be careful too 🙂

Yup… My daughter is a prefect too and even with patrolling it’s still happening!

Her items were stolen while she was at Brownies n her lock tempered with… and another girl was also at CCA when her bag ransacked too…
How sad:( I hope the culprit or culprits get caught soon!

I was so upset to see my girl in tears yesterday!

I agree with Lock, did not really hear the theft case the last 4yrs.

Only this year started to get often and furious.

In class 5H itself things are missing, lock tempered, even stole the whole lock! my dd's classmate found dd's pen in her pencil case today. The culprit not only steal but messed up with everyone's property. Girls get very personal n sentiment about their item, so lossing even the least valuable item can cause misery 😞

I wonder if CCTV works? Does the school bother to investigate the case to find the culprit?

Hi dear parents, noticed the last posting was in Feb…may I have some feedback about the school? I read the archives and learnt about fierce not nice teachers, and about stealing. May I know are these issues resolved since then? I am looking at this school for my girl and I am kind of worried.

Also, may I have an indication, for those who’s girls have graduated, hows the PSLE results like and which sec schools they go too? If St Theresa a good school?

                  Thanks so much!

                    Hi Arielbelle,

Overall CHIJ OLQP is giving my gal good experiences.
I guess the stealing incident is an unfortunate event that may occur in any school.
It caused by one or two soul which cant represent the school as a whole.
There are many other good things that have not been shared in this thread.
But, to be honest (and sad to say)…my dd’s incident had been closed by the police without finding the culprit as there was not enough evidence found.

                      Hi Lock,

Its been long time. I had been very very busy with work and travelling and lost touch with what was going on with my gal's work.

I had been neglecting her and realised i need to spend more time with her to catch up.

Heard from her that your gal is doing well. Congrats!
I wish to spend more time and effort before it is too late 😓

Hi. Did any body have any idea why the p1 admission rate for 2011 was low. Even there was enrolment under 2C sup.

I am intrested for my DIDI this year staying in Jurong. Did I stand any chance for admission
