Oh dear! Is it because it's at the beat down followed by 2nd/3rd rise stage?Arrgghhh!!! :stupid: :stupid:
My loaf was rising so well and almost reaching the top of the pan as I was happily typing the earlier post. BUT just 1 minute ago when I peeped through the window, the entire loaf has collapsed!
What happened?!
Now got to :xedfingers: that it will rise again since I've still got 1 hour 50 minutes to go. :xedfingers: -

It will be ready in 20 minutes. So far so good and still rising well after the sudden collapse earlier. I can't wait to see the sliced version i.e. how the colours will turn out.
Must tell us how it turns out. it sounds tricky, but yummy.Happy Mama:
By the way, I am baking Multi-Grain loaf today. Not too sure if it will turn out well coz the person at PH told me to replace with Raisins but instead, I used the method of 7-grain from the recipe instead..
I also plucked 2 small pandan leaves, pounded it, mixed with water and squeezed out some pandan juice... but a pity my leaves are too small and young, so I don't think I can see the green effect when baked.
I will try again when my leaves have fully grown.
I have also added some cranberries at the beep sound...
Not sure how my loaf will turn out later... ROJAK? :!:

Not too sure. It has never happened before...

I think that's quite normal. I've seen my breads rising well - almost kissing the window, and then suddenly it \"collapses\". But after a while, it rises again during the \"bake\" stage and then, all is fine. I'm sure there is a scientific explanation to this but not sure what it is. Must wait for our chief BSI, peterch to come in and explainArrgghhh!!! :stupid: :stupid:

I prepared raisin bread again and this time I used the 900 g function of B machine and it came out to be the best bread.. so i guess if we use the highest quantity bread comes out to be the best...

Oh, really? This is the first time I'm experiencing this \"almost kissing the window\" thingy and then suddenly collapsing. Thank goodness, it has risen once again.
Phew!

Feedback by DH is that its not sweet enough, while DS said its too hard
Haiz, I should really really stick to my portion of 1 cup of wholemeal flour ...
Anyway, will attempt another one soon. As our bread maker kaki dear Schweppes always says, \"die die must try\" wink:
hey autumnbronze, I like your banana walnut bread! still can see the chunky banana pieces. looks yumm yumm! :celebrate:
I baked banana cake yesterday..family said it tasted more like banana BREAD instd ..
overall, comments received were : not sweet enough for cake but just nice for bread, can't see the banana but can taste and smell it and abit dry.
I used yeast as indicated in S recipe. they don't call it cake but sweet bread wor..so, do u think the yeast was the culprit? :?
must use baking powder for cake is it? sorry for my silly questions..
it indicated as mashed banana mah..so I basically MASHED it lor..
