The last time I enquired about Jurong East pickup, the driver said it is around 6am.....

Maybe they have changed this year...
So far, I know Clementi Ave 3 area is the lastest pick up point, around 6:30am.

i'm a resident in the area. I think most residents understand that there is a school in the area and has been putting up with the inconveniences for years. my biggest problem is getting parked in, and parents parking illegally. There was a mom who regularly parks at the stop line of watten rise and watten drive or at road bends. With the heavy traffic, and cars parked along the road, she was just pushing things too far with her selfishness. The TP and NP refused to do anything. How do you think reaidents feel? I can put up with the heavy traffic, it's part and parcel of living near a school, but spare some thoughts for others. There are plenty of legal parking spots, if parents are willing to walk two extra steps.

you have my sympathies...there are some who point their middle fingers even they blocked your driveway entrance

Wow, shocking! Already in the wrong and still defiant.

If it is near where the school's traffic warden usually stands, can you ask the school to get him to chase such drivers away from that spot?

My hubby and I take turns to send our girl to school every morning. Why? Because we felt that the school bus timing was too early for her. She can sleep at least half an hour more each weekday and I think that is important.

I thought that the traffic woes may be lessened if the school bus timings were better. I would let her take the schoolbus. And that would mean at least 1 car off the road in the morning. How many of you are also in the same situation? Perhaps it is time to ask the transport company if they can do something about the timing. I know that some of the buses rush off to fetch another group of students from another school / office workers.
Yes, that's definitely a good idea. Maybe there should be a SLA on what is the earliest acceptable timing for the school bus to reach the school. We should not have some buses reaching as early as 6.30am and some 7.05am.

If I understand correctly, the girls have to reach by 7.10am and assembly time is 7.20am only. Thus even if the school bus reaches 7am should still have time for the girls to get ready.

What I really loathe to see is that the school bus drivers, in their own interest, just \"dump\" the girls at the school as early as they can.

Oh! jtoh, you have pointed out what my friend has been doing over at SCGS. She and her hubby will park their car at the bus bay near the side gate.

Both of the them then alight from the car and put on the school bags for her 3 darling girls and hug and kiss their darlings goodbye before getting back into the car and driving off.

  I understand the want to kiss and say goodbye to your darlings, but not at the expense of other parents waiting to drop off their kids. Give your hugs and kisses at home I say. Then eject them from the car at school.

Haha this morning while dropping my girl, I saw \"P\" standing near the foyer watching the cars. But one parent still take her time to take out school bag from boot followed by hug and kiss.
