My DS also in P1 this year. Wakes up at 6.15am, then take breakfast. He is the after school care and we picked him after work. After his bathe and dinner, will practice spelling/ting xie and also revised homework with him. He usually sleep at 9.30pm.

Does anyone of you has issues with your P1 child buying snacks from the canteen? My DS likes to buy biscuits and snacks instead of proper food during recess. :stupid:

I prepare recess for my kids too...sometimes biscuits for my gal.
When my son was in P1, he ate biscuits everyday (diff flavour). He got sick of it and now would like pau, sandwiches instead.

Now that they are free to buy what they want, the thrill to buy food is there...after few weeks, they will get sick. My gal went ga-ga to see so many stalls and food avail...but now she wants food from home.

                    Callie Tan:
I admire parents with 2 or more children in schools... My girl started P1 this year and I am finding it a chore to make time for all the revision and assessment work... because of my long hours of work plus entertainment n leisure etc... have to constantly coach them, encourage them to read etc, no joke!! And now I think it is impt to make learning more fun so now I am finding ways... any parents pls contribute some ideas. Thanks!

I'm with you. I wonder how parents with >1 kids cope too, looking at how i try to struggle with time just with 1 kid. My dd also in P1, pm session. We try to get her in bed by 10.00 (but she will dilly dally until 11pm), then
                    9am - wakes, washup, breakfast
                    10am - homework/assessment
                    11am - prepare for school
At night, we start homework 8.30pm, try end by 9.30pm for snacking. 10pm winddown and then off to bed.

Bearing in mind that kids of p1 age shld hv 10hrs sleep ideally, the time during the weekdays are really an amazing race for me. Saturdays, 2 enrichment classes. Sunday only 1 so we can set aside more time for leisure / grandparents visits / more time for revision during CA/SA...

Now for the 1st time, i truely appreciate the school holidays.. a time for catchup weak subject areas at our own pace.. but sadly, amazing race starts tomorrow again :scared:

I can’t seem to see any TV watching session in most of the timetables?

Do they still have time for TV at all?
