If you have not received your books after 5 or 6 weeks, I advise you to quickly call the bank to dispute the charge. You have up to 60 days from the date that the charge shows up in your account to dispute the charges. Then you don't have to pay until the bank investigates with the merchant.

If you do eventually receive the books, call the bank to settle it.


I think that dangdang.com has changed to another shipping company that may not be reliable. When I ordered from them for about 10 times between Dec 2009 and July 2010, all my orders arrived within 5 to 6 weeks.

Other alternatives would be to order through sprees in the singaporemotherhood.com, or http://www.65daigou.com. I have never ordered from them before, not sure whether they are reliable or not.

The dangdang website indicate the delivery time to be 7-8 weeks. Both of my orders end of last year reached me in around 7-8 weeks.

why don't you check Singpost website again. I checked just now and to my delight my Nov order just arrived. So most likely I will see my books on Mon or Tues. I can start 四五快读 with DD and DS next wk The Nov one is my big order so extremely that it has finally reached Singapore.

I managed to order and pay for the books using my UOB visa card. You have to activate the the sms-OTP service, whereby the bank will sms you the One time password to enable the transaction to go through. However, I had to separate my order into a few smaller ones as I could only charge at most Rmb$350 each time...don't know why... :?

My order done on the 17th was approved and sent out from Beijing on the 18th.

In Nov 2010, I was able to charge above RM$350 on the DBS AMEX. I wonder is it the card or DD system. But it might be a blessing in disguise because smaller order might arriver faster. My smaller order arrived earlier than my bigger order although I ordered the latter one earlier.

Anyone order from dang dang and was shipped ard 14 dec 2010? Want to check if you have received the order. I have yet to receive mine. So frustrating that u can’t get a satisfactory answer from dangdang and they just keep asking me to wait.

I had an order despatched from Beijing warehouse on the 14th Dec at about 6:15pm. I rec'd it yesterday, Fri 18 Feb. I had 2 books + 1 plastic wrapped 7 titles series. How many did you order?

Did DD give you the tracking number?

The thing is, even it was despatched from the warehouse on the 14 Dec, it will still take time to clear China's custom and be on the ship to Singapore. Both our items might not be on the same ship.

DD provided the tracking number after I emailed them that I was notified to acknowledge receipt of the order by their auto email, but I did not rec the item yet. So how could I acknowledge that I rec the item. DD refer it as the 邮寄包裹号
