So far I've found it to be reasonable and minus the shipping. One of the music scores we bought (complete set) was more than half the price of what I get in singapore!

not so straightforward. DD told me since it had been shipped out, the only way to get a refund is do not accept the parcel when they deliver to me. Parcel will be returned to DD and DD will then refund the money to me. Quite ridiculous since DD was the one failed to deliver the goods within 8weeks. Quite a number of mummies had similar encounter. I guess there's nothing we could except waiting...

The problem is not with dangdang. It is with the shipping service. It could also be due to wrong delivery by Singapore Post.

Previously I had one parcel from amazon.com delivered to the wrong address. I called Sing Post, was told that someone already signed for it. But it is not anyone in my family !

I read a few letters in the Straits Times complaining about the poor delivery by Sing Post.

In any case, try to push dangdang for a refund. Tell them that you are in Singapore, how to return the parcel to them ?

I advise you to quickly call the bank to dispute the charge. You have up to 60 days from the date that the charge shows up in your account to dispute the charges. Then you don't have to pay until the bank investigates with the merchant.

You are right. The parcel has not reached Singapore yet - already checked with Singpost. I have already waited for the parcel since Oct 10 and dont mind to wait for another 2 months. I am struck at the moment as i want to order more storybooks.

I have received some books exactly for this 学前阅读计划 series from my ex-colleague. Surprisingly it is same as the link you have refered here!

Since I have 2 series of it, so I make use of it to teach my kids chinese by using this reader which is similar to Peter & Jane series. Wow... it is really good! I can see big improvement in my kids who obviously face problems in recognising chinese words!

I was encouraged to buy the further series for my kids. From the link, I noticed there are actually 5 series for this reader. Each serie got 8 books. After finishing the 5 series, children are exposed to 1200 words.

I started to use this reader 2 weeks ago. I ask my kids to read out loud for few pages or one whole book everyday, depends whether they have mastered the previous pages. So far, my girl has proceeded to read book 1 for 2nd series, while my boys are reading book 5 and book 6 for 1st series.

Hopefully they can finish all the series before they go to P1 next year! Then be able to read other chinese books with interest as well...

So if any parents here are interested, you can refer to the above link as well.

I thought the shops are good enough for basic reader, of course if u want advanced readers, then china website would be a better choice as they stock much more. But for very young children, I think brick and mortar stores are good enough.

For example, for the siwukuaidu, I just plucked them from the store last mth. although they cost few dollars more, but I dun mind, coz at least they can be used immediately. If I wait for DD to be delivered, I think until now, I would still be waiting and risk not deliver at all.

I think DD is good if you have the time to wait and you have ample books to read while waiting.

So far, dangdang has been very prompt in delivering my books except for this \"big\" order that estimated to be S$200plus. I dun really need the storybooks at the moment but becos it involves my colleagues order... It is not easy to scout for the storybooks that i saw in DD including NLB.

He finds that boring and would refuse to read further.

He loves books like those from the Peach Blossom publications, particularly the SHAPES series - he's finished all of them. Wish there were more!

Oh, the scroll series, he had read before and he does enjoy those. But it's quite simple for him too.
