      Hi plum-cake,

I have loads of brand new books sitting on the shelf and watching when I take one of them out to be written on. Get excited when I see new publication  now hope these books won't be white elephants trumpeting on the shelves.
If time permits, I'll buy the Conquer Science at the next possible opportunity. I think YOU AND I can shake hands bcos we are truly QUEENS of assessment books. :rotflmao:

      :salute:

What do you think of EPH assessment ?
Any comments on My Pals are here Vocabulary Skills, Comprehension Skills vs Practice Makes Perfect Grammar, Vocabulary ?

        My opinion.

        For grammar

I like step up grammar because the explenation is good. It has a colourful learning section, to practice I have many books but .... sorry I don't have any EPH, my pals for english  Most of them are from learners. then casco one oxfd comprehension.study helpers vocab and comprehension. But I have conquer titles from p1,p2
grammar, vocab, comprehension, cloze, editing n punc, synth n trans etc etc.

Yes, lower primary children need more pictorial info to hold their attention. For a minute, I thought that page came from 'Teachers' Production' or 'Basic Grammar Guide'.

I get Conquer titles for Grammar, Vocab, Synthesis & Transformation & Comprehension for my son in P5...for Cloze though, I get Casco English Grammar Vocabulary Comprehension Cloze. It's a no-brainer thing (Conquer ie) as I trust Teachers@work.

What to do. in the school they teach from My Pals and set the exam papers look similar to assesment books. brainy ones. so we parents have to buy extra assesment books to teach.

I will buy the science for now. then will get a divorce from popular... I will only re-consider him after SA2... 😢

😢[/quote]You kidding me right? Divorce from Popular. Very soon you will see yourself embracing popular again.
It doesn't make sense to use pictorial stuff to teach and set exam papers that is tougher than textbook. Not exposing kids to reality.

Shall and will comes under modals. Modals are used for different purposes.
Ex: to ask questions like permission to do something, to give/get advice, and to make requests...

Shall I get you something to drink?
Shall we have pasta to dinner tonight?

I shall try my best in the coming spelling test.
We shall visit the Zoo this holidays.

Will you come with me to the doctor?
                    Yes, I will.

Sam will find it difficult to learn something new.
                    Jerry will meet us today.
You will do as you are told.
