      Happy Mama:
It is so sad and unfortunate that the earthquake happened in Christchurch. NZ is a beautiful place and it holds beautiful memories for us too. I have relatives staying in NZ but thank goodness, all of them are staying in different parts of North Island.

Verykiasu2010, you mean the whales beached and died? So they could sense something looming huh? Maybe people should have gotten the signal and evacuated themselves...
yup the whales were reported by ST too

107 whales beached themselves on an island on the southern most tip of NZ.

Just heard on the radio while driving that quite a number had to have their limbs amputated in order for them to be rescued successfully šŸ˜ž

SAF 116 strong team has been assisting with the rescue work. They were in NZ on a joint exercise.

And a KC135 airplane will reach NZ tomorrow to assist with the transfer of survivors from Christchurch to Auckland

Glad that we are doing something to help.

Ya, at least Singapore is doing every bit to help NZ.

a shanghainess was interviewed at Changi Airport.

She was on her way to Christchurch for a holiday and was hoping that the car rental company is not affected by the quake and have her car ready. She also complained that the hotel which had been very prompt in answering her emails previously, had not answer her recent few emails.

                        :!: :!:
