SAHM_TAN:
All my 3 kids are in bed by 930pm as well..so after 930pm, I will do some housework like sweeping/mopping/laundry/simple ironing..otherwise it is ME time all the way until 11pm when my #3 wakes up for his milk feed. I think it is hard to go par tor now.bebe:
Can I check with you SAHM..how do you manage couple time? Frankly speaking, I am already struggling for ME time...couple time is the last thing on my mind..and I know my hubby is not very pleased..but what to do? Kids come first..I wake up at 5am..go to bed at 11pm...really no time for romance..
We get our kids to sleep at 930pm, yes even the baby.So after 930pm is couple time. We will talk, catch up on stuff. If you are talking about date, like go out, at the moment, we can't becos baby is only 6mos and refused any other to babysit her. -
SAHM_TAN:
If your hubby is game, can have movie date at home from 930 to 11. Sometimes we have movie night at home, will switch off lights and eat snacks

Have you guys read TODAYonline? There's an article on \"For full-time mum, a maidβs a necessity\"...
Here's the link:

I especially like the conclusion...
Engaging a full-time maid to help a SAHM cannot be considered a βluxuryβ,
especially when considering the many demands of raising a child owadays and, more importantly, the need to maintain a healthy husband-wife relationship.
If only the govt can allow some incentives to SAHM too...

i'd appreciate extra help too, but i treasure my privacy lei...
if only can have helper help during day but she has her own home to go back to, that'd be ideal.
miss having the ayi system in china when hubby was posted there and me and kids were there. so nice cos my house would be spick and span, and i can spend time with kids, hubby, plus do my fav baking, yet we have our privacy -

We only get it through our kids, if they are 6yos and below and other goodies as a family.. Think govt don't like SAHM becos they like pple to contribute productively and directly to the economy.

I think their ideal family situation is all adults in the family work, senior citizens work part=time or as volunteers. Parents working 5 days work wk. Have at least 2 kids and keeping option open for 3rd kid. During wkends, family spend time together as a unit.
One adult off the workforce, they need to source from outside the country. -

It's sad that the Govt forget that SAHMs are also Singaporeans with the right to vote.
