Ya, Janet, DON'T! Not yet. They will have chances in their lives to fail or wake up. By then, their mental strength will be more mature and YOU can take it better too. I am only afraid that you cannot take the fact if it really happens now (maybe speaking for myself too). Just concerned. 8)
They will fight many battles in life and they cannot win all the time. The important thing is the win the important battles. Spelling and mock tests can \"close one eye\" but not CA and SA.
Too risky to try leh...Happy Mama:

One mummy ever mentioned it's ok to let the child fail for him/her to wake up, but I don't know if I can afford to do that. But on the other hand, I don't want to get burnt out over CA1 when 1 month later I have to plan revision for SA1.
really contradicting myself.

Agreed, if there is one thing I will teach my dd ... is the ability to bounce back, be positive and move on in life. Funx3 your dd will do well as she progress in life. :D
Thank You For Your POSITIVE Views ....
Hey Funx3, it's good that your DD is optimistic and positive. This is a very important trait that will help her as she goes along in life...Happy Mama:
Always Optimistic, She Told Me, \" I Compare My Marks With the Classmate Sitting In Front, Behind, On My Left and On My Right ....
And .... I Got Higher Marks than ALL of Them! So I Should Be Alright ....\"

If this Go On, Think My Gal Will Have Halo Over Her Little Head Soon! :imanangel: :imanangel:
It's not true if they have planned it well. Well...cannot expect things to be perfect. I guess I should consider the L-F club seriously now.

I have been trying hard to get out of it since joining KSP, and you are trying to get in?

My \"last words\" before I sent her off every morning. Complete as much work as possible in school so you'll bring back less. Haha...Happy Mama:

I told her you want more free time and play time .. clear your HW faster. -

Well said, Trapwithin! :celebrate: I will try that on DD but just got to watch out she doesn't go over the moon and get over complacent. The best drive is \"self-driven\". Kids tends to be very self-driven when they have tested success.
So Parents .. hang in there .... encourage them .... when they break the mindset of \"everything is possible\" .. they will fly ... faster than you could imagine. They will be totally self-driven because they have tasted the fruit of success and it is just too tempting to let it go.

So Far for my Gal, Nope!
Perhaps Becoz they R in P6, So Have To Be Super-On!
In Fact, My Gal Admires Her EL T for Being Able to Mark the Whole Class's (40 of them) Vocabs HW within an Hour Every Monday and Return to Them the very Same Day.
Vocab HW - Each Student has to Submit Min 25 Vocabs of Unfamiliar Words with Accompanying Meanings and Sentences (Optional) extracted from The Straits Times (for 5 Days per week).
So it depends on the T -la!
