We made a version of this with Milo for brown cookies and Horlicks for white cookies. My son made them for CNY this year.

Sounds interesting too. Maybe I should try baking these cute cookie animals with my DD during the school hols. -

oh yes, i love the buttery taste... so that means i've got to avoid putting the vanilla essence is it? thanks for telling me this.

Happy Mama:
yup happy mum.. Enjoy baking with ya angels.. I personally like the golden bucket butter as the buttery taste is richer.. Rmb nt to pinch a big ball of dough as it will take longer time to be cooked.

http://happyhomebaking.blogspot.com/2007/01/horlicks-doggie-cookies.html. I simply replace equal parts of the Horlicks for Milo. When I ran out of powdered milk for the second batch, I simply replace that amount with more Milo powder.
It's so easy to do that my son took over after we measured out all the ingredients. We just weighed out 9g of cookie dough for each dog and my son had fun making funny faces on it.
We made a batch of Horlicks and a batch of Milo for the younger ones' kindergarten party, and the kids loved it!
I personally like it because both Milo and Horlicks are packed with lots of vitamins and minerals, so they are lovely snacks for the kids.

Let me share a simple cupcake decoration that you can try:
http://postimage.org/image/276k6566c/
1. After baking your cupcake, cut a slit into the top of the cupcake at an angle.
2. Stuff a cookie into the slit.
3. Pipe blue frosting with a grass tip all over the top of the cupcake.
4. Stick 2 mentos sweets with 2 choc chips using white frosting.
5. Paste the mentos to the top of the cupcake and voila! Cookie Monster!!!
