      e3nity:
you can oso cook porridge with black chicken. It taste more sweet compared to the normal ones.

ya.....i also realise that black chicken soup taste \"sweeter\" than using white chicken even with the same ingredients.

but won't the porridge looks \"slght black\" in color ??

i usually boil black chicken soup with chinese herbs (not pre-packed type, own combi).
my gal luv it with ginseng, be it \"black\" or \"white\" chicken šŸ˜‰

Black chicken with just ginseng will do?

I just came back from Hock Hwa and bought some herbs for soup. Also bought ginseng to boil soup. My DH and DD are going to be so happy with all the soup they are going to be drinking soon. šŸ˜‰

        happy mama,
i will put in 淮山 (Huai Shan) dried one, and some wolfberries,
can also add some red dates, if u're not afraid of \"heaty\", taste is better. šŸ˜„

i also get all my chinese herbs from hock hua too. :hi5:

        today, i boiled 猪 肚 걤 with ē™½ęžœ and pepper.
my family, esp hub, loves this soup very much.[/quote]Wow, I love the pig maw pepper soup  , very yummy! Must go take out my thermal pot to boil soup soon. for I have not done so for a while šŸ˜‰

Used to boil soup up to 3 times weekly before family all complained couldn't finish and kept having leftovers (and I was tired of using leftovers for lunch too). Maybe should try to do it once or twice weekly and see how it goes.
